Meg
Sleeper
joined
our
team
in
May
2015.
AUer
becoming

1997
and
with
a
degree
and
completed
residency
from
the
University
of
Pennsylvania
to
her
credit,
she
has
worked
in
the
sec8on
of
cardiology
at
Penn
and
in
private
prac8ce.
She
is
an
associate
professor
of
cardiology
and
was
sec8on
chief
from
2001
through
2011.
Primary
research
interests
include
inherited
heart
diseases,
in
par8cular
inherited
cardiomyopathies
and
therapeu8c
gene
transfer.
Dr.
Meg
Sleeper
has
published
numerous
papers
including
over
70
peer
reviewed
original
papers,
over
50
review
papers
or
case
reports,
and
4
books.
In
addi8on
to
lecturing
at
pres8gious
conferences,
including
the
American
Heart
Associa8on,
she
has
trained
18
veterinary
cardiologists
through
their
residency
programs
at
the
University
of
Pennsylvania
Veterinary
School.
In
2015
she
joined
the
faculty
at
the
University
of
Florida
veterinary
school.
EXOTICS
MARGARET
FORDHAM,
DVM
Dr.
Margaret
Fordham
joined
our
team
as
a
consultant
in
avian
and
exo8c
medicine
and
surgery.
She
is
a
graduate
of
Cornell
University
College
of
Veterinary
Medicine,
and
then
she
went
on
to
complete
her
three
year
residency
in
exo8c
pet
medicine
and
surgery
at
the
University
of
Pennsylvania
School
of
Veterinary
Medicine
in
2008.
She
worked
as
a
clinical
instructor
in
the
university
veterinary
hospital
for
two
years
before
entering
into
private
prac8ce
in
exo8cs.
Prior
to
the
residency
she
worked
in
the
Philadelphia
area
for
many
years
doing
both
small
animal
emergency
medicine
and
exo8c
pet
medicine.
In
addi8on,
from
1998-2004
she
was
the
assistant
veterinarian
at
the
New
Jersey
State
Aquarium
at
Camden,
NJ.
She
has
lectured
na8onally
and
interna8onally
on
exo8c
pet
medicine
and
has
a
special
interest
in
exo8c
animal
anesthesia
and
emergency
care.
We
are

her

consultant
for

emergency
veterinarians
and
sta.
Her
role
will
enable
us
to
provide
around
the
clock
exo8c
pa8ent
care.

CAROLINE
GARZOTTO,
VMD,
CCRT,
DACVS
Dr.
Caroline
GarzoZo
is
a
board
cer8ed
small
animal
surgeon
since
2001
who
achieved
cer8ca8on
as
a
Canine
Rehabilita8on
Therapist
(CCRT)
in
2012.
She
has
been
seeing
pa8ents
at
Mount
Laurel
Animal
Hospital
since
2007.
She
is
also
an
Adjunct
Assistant
Professor
of
Surgery
at
the
University
of
Pennsylvania
Veterinary
School.
Dr.
GarzoZo
is
trained
in
both
soU
8ssue
and
orthopedic
surgery.
Her
par8cular
areas
of
interest
are
sports
medicine,
rehabilita8on
and
pain
management,
oncologic
surgery
and
wound
management/reconstruc8ve
surgery.
Veterinary
medicine
is
a
second
career
for
Dr.
GarzoZo,
who
for
six
years
worked
as
an
electrical/computer
engineer
in
PiZsburgh,
PA.
Although
she
enjoyed
engineering,
she
nally
realized
her
dream
of
becoming
a
veterinarian
aUer
gradua8ng
from
the
University
of
Pennsylvania
School
of
Veterinary
Medicine
in
1996.
That
was
followed
by
a
private
prac8ce
internship,
and
then
a
3
year
surgical
residency
at
TuUs
University/Angell
Memorial
Animal
Hospital.
We
are
excited
to
announce
that
she
now
oers

for
cruciate
ligament
repair
including
TPLOs
and
lateral
sutures.
In

are

advanced
fracture
repair
and

She
is
available
