Grade3Agaugesarecalibratedtoanaccuracyof0.25%ofspanovertheentirerangeofthe
gauge. The gauges are called test gauges and are generally 4", 6" or 8" dials. The test
gaugesaregenerallynottemperaturecompensated.
Grade2Agaugesarecalibratedtoanaccuracyof0.5%ofspanovertheentirerangeofthe
gauge.Thesegaugesaregenerallyusedbythepetrochemicalindustryforprocesspressure
measurement.Theyareoftenreferredtoasprocessgaugesandareusuallysuppliedas4"
and6"casesandarenottemperaturecompensated.
Grade1A gauges are calibrated to an accuracy of 1% over the entire range of the gauge.
Thesegaugesarehighqualityindustrialgaugesandaresuppliedin2",3",4",6"and8"
sizes.
GradeAgaugesarecalibratedtoanaccuracyof1%ofspanoverthemiddlehalfofthescale
and2%ofspanoverthefirstandlastquartersofthescale.Thesegaugesareoftenreferredto
asindustrialgaugesandusuallysuppliedin2",3",4"and6"casesizes.
GradeBgaugesarecalibratedtoanaccuracyof2%ofspanoverthemiddlehalfofthescale
and 3% of span onver the first and last quarters of the scale. This accuracy of gauge
representsthemajorityofmanufacturedandusedforpressuremeasurementonwaterpumps,
swimmingpoolfilters,aircompressors,filterregulations,etc.Thesegaugesareoftenreferredto
ascommercialorutilitygaugesandaresuppliedin1",2",2",3"and4"casesizes.
