Introduction
For this semester, we are required to perform a play based from the
chosen story. As for my group, the story was adapted based from Cinderella, the
poor girl who lives with her stepmother and two stepsisters. There are lots of
strengths and also weaknesses that I have learned throughout the process of
producing the play. Hence, it also helps me to improve myself to become a better
future English teacher.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Among the strengths based from my experience producing the play,

learnt to cooperate better with people around me, especially my group mates,
beautiful and nice props, more time to practice and also has managed to apply a
good staging skill which are the arrangement of the props, the balancing of the
characters movement on the stage and also our loud voice projection.
My social skill has improved more as I manage to cooperate well with my
group mates to make sure that the play will become successful. This happens as
all of us have the same vision that is to make sure that our performance will go
well. Other than that, we have more time to produce such beautiful and nice
props which are the background during the play and also nice and pretty dresses
and also wings for the fairy godmother. Moreover, we also manage to arrange
our props nicely and also maintain the movement of the characters around the
center of the stage. In addition, our biggest strength is the loud projection of our
voice which manage to gain the audiences attention.
However, other than having strengths, there are also weaknesses based
from our play, which are having trouble in changing clothes, having problem in
carrying props and also having difficulties in putting the props in specific places.

This happens as we have short time during the transition of times for changing
clothes. Thus, it makes us to be a little bit confuse and also adding some stress
as we need to finish the play in specific times. Besides, we also have a problem
in carrying our props and also to put it in places which will make it safe as we
have a long background, so it does make it a little bit difficult to handle.
As the play has finished, I realize that all the strengths and weaknesses
are essential for us to make us to be better in the next performance. Other than
that, it also helps us in developing all the characteristic needed in order to
become an excellent English teacher in the future.
Personal Growth
There are lots of positive things that I have learnt during before and after
presenting our play. The main thing that I have learnt is I have managed to
overcome my stage fright in order to present our play. Other than that, I also
have increased my self-esteem as I have successfully presented the play without
having to stop in the middle of the play.
Moreover, I also has learned to work professionally with the other people
just to make sure that the play went smoothly. Besides, presenting this play also
make me think fast and creative, especially during the part when the other
character has forgotten her lines, so in order to cover up I must create a new line
spontaneously without making the audience to notice about it.
This play also helps me to become more systematic in handling myself
and also to divide my time wisely. This is because, I need to make sure the script
is nicely done in the right time, hence checking all the props needed, and also in
the end, to make sure that everything is perfect to be presented. So, this play
does help me in improving myself to become a better person.

Hence, this play has helped me to develop all the positive values inside of
me so that in the future, I will be a better and excellent English teacher.

Professional Growth
I have learnt many good and bad values from the play. One of it is I
manage to make myself professional in handling all kinds of people, each with
different characteristics. Thus, it will make myself prepare in order to handle
different kinds of people, not only now as a student, but soon when I become a
teacher. So, it will make me to be fully prepared mentally and physically in order
to avoid any problems that might happen.
Other than that, by handling this play also help me in communicating
professionally and also in a formal state in order to interact with people in higher
ranks of the society. It also helps me in developing my management skills in
order to make sure that the play and also the program went smoothly without
having any troubles.
Conclusion
To conclude, this play has helped me and my group mates a lot in
improving our social skills and also has made us to gain more knowledge that is
essential to be used in the future, as an English teacher. I also have improved
myself in many aspects such as my social skills, the management of times, my
attitudes and many more. I do hope that this kind of play and also the program
can be done again to brush up our skills all over again and also to equip
ourselves with enough knowledge to be used in the future.
