A1. General Description

The proposed solution is presented below. The system may later be easily upgraded with
additional sensors. The systems main components are described in the following paragraphs.
Please also refer to Aerotels product catalog for additional details and product specifications. The
figure is for reference only and does not show all the possible options.

A2. Telemedicine Hubs

Medi-CliniQ - Public Telemedicine Station (Kiosk)
Medi-CliniQ is Aerotels multi-patient data
communication hub and acquisition center intended
for public use (e.g. at a clinic, assisted living home,
etc.). It provides multiple data access point (multiple
sensors) for multiple-patient use. The data is
transmitted to the call center over the Internet. It is
a multi-user hub that can be used in public places
such as community clinics, assisted living,
pharmacies, mobile trucks, etc.
Patients using the Medi-CliniQ can be identified by
a unique personal ID number. Patients can take the
measurements with the help of a nurse or other
clinic personnel. The data is then automatically
transmitted over the Internet to the receiving call center, where it is stored in the patients
medical record and becomes available for evaluation by a physician.
Medi-CliniQ can be connected to any combination of the following monitoring devices:

12-Lead ECG
Blood pressure monitor
Weight scale
Pulse oximeter
Spirometer
Blood glucose meter

A3. Medical Monitoring Devices

The following devices (sensors) will be included with the system. Since our system supports
various models, the actual model of each sensor may vary, depending on availability.

HeartView 12L - Professional 12-Lead ECG with Bluetooth

Aerotel HeartView 12L is the markets smallest professional 12-lead ECG
recorder/transmitter. A user-friendly device, HeartView enables the transmission
of comprehensive ECG data from any place and at any time. Users position the 10wire cable that comes with the unit, in order to simultaneously record a 12-lead
ECG. Data can be sent to any Bluetooth-enabled cellphone for seamless
transmission to the call center. HeartView 12L is a perfect solution for diagnosis
of cardiac symptoms or remote monitoring of chronic heart patients.

HeartView P12/8i - Personal 12-Lead ECG

HeartView P12/8i is a user-Friendly 12 or 8 lead electrocardiogram
recorder/transmitter. Data can be sent to any Bluetooth-enabled
cellphone for seamless transmission to the call center.

Spirometer
Handheld telemedicine Spirometer designed for easy use with simple
user-friendly controls and menus. It has serial interface for easy
integration and operation with Aerotels Medi-CliniQ station.

Pulse oximeter
Compact, lightweight pulse oximeter for easy and accurate SpO2
measurement. It is suitable for adult, pediatric and neonatal
patients. Connects to the Medi-CliniQ station via a serial cable.
It is intended for noninvasive spot-check measurement of
functional oxygen saturation of arterial hemoglobin (SpO2).

Blood pressure monitor

High-quality clinical blood pressure monitor, very popular for
homecare/clinic settings and specifically designed for telemedicine
applications. It has been successfully deployed with Aerotels hubs
in many installations. It connects to the Medi-CliniQ station via a
serial cable.

Weight scale
High-precision clinical weight scale specifically designed for
telemedicine applications. It has been successfully deployed with
Aerotels hubs in many installations. It connects to the Medi-CliniQ
station via a serial cable. Provides highly accurate and precise
measurements, thin and light-weight, it is easy to step on and store.

Blood glucose meter

Glucometer will be purchased separately and provided by the client. Aerotels
system supports several models of thge LifeScan OneTouch Ultra family. They
connect to the Medi-CliniQ station with a serial cable.

Other Sensors
Various additional sensors can be added to the system according to the customer needs.

A4. Medical Monitoring Software

The medical call center consists of two dedicated medical software packages, HRS and MPM
as described below. In addition, Aerotel Web servers, enable remote access to the medical
records via a secure Web interface.

HRS - Heartline Receiving Station

Aerotels Heartline Receiving Station (HRS) is designed
for various diagnostic, emergency and monitoring service
applications. It is composed of a complete range of personal 112 lead trans-telephonic devices for variable remote diagnostic
and emergency service applications. The recorded ECG signals
are transmitted through the telephone to a medical center,
where a PC-based ECG receiving station receives the
transmitted ECG and displays it in real-time.
HRS is Aerotels core acquisition and management center. Easy
to operate, it can be applied to any standard PC equipment.
Designed for long-term use, the systems database offers
various access and management options. HRS supports

Aerotels entire line of Heartline monitors. Additionally, several systems can be networked in
order to support large-scale service operations.

MPM - Medical Parameters Monitoring

Aerotels Medical Parameters Monitoring (MPM) system is
used for remote monitoring of a wide range of clinical and
physiological parameters (such as blood pressure, oxygen
saturation, blood glucose levels, weight and more).
The MPM system is usually used to monitor vital signs that do
not require an immediate response, for care of the chronically-ill
and disease management. Using Aerotels MPM software, the
monitoring service center automatically stores the data into
electronic patient files, enabling physicians to review the medical
parameters effectively, track changes in patients conditions,
adherence to medication regimes, etc.

HRS-Net and MPM-Net - Access Information from Anywhere

Aerotel remote access server (which consists of HRS-Net and MPM-Net described below)
may be added to the system later in order to provide secure remote access via the Web to the
medical records, for patients, physicians, administrators or consultants. These are optional
systems that can be added later and are not part of the basic system.
HRS-Net is an add-on to Aerotels HRS. MPM-Net is an add-on to Aerotels MPM.
These solutions include a set of Web-based applications that enable secure access to medical
records from anywhere, anytime, providing remote users with secure Internet access to data
stored at the call center.
The systems are designed to help physicians and patients improve their healthcare
management. They can optimize disease management programs by allowing healthcare
providers to review and share relevant patient information from anywhere. They also help
healthcare providers achieve and maintain long-lasting relationships with their patients, by
letting patients track their medical history.
A bi-directional system, the HRS-Net enables an interpreting cardiologists add his/her
interpretation of a selected ECG and store it in the database under the patients file

A5. Additional Information

Installation, Setup & Training
An experienced Aerotel Medical Systems technician will install the receiving station and devices
and will also provide the operation training for the software and the devices. This is highly
effective as it enables your personnel to learn the products from the inside. (Please note that
we limit our liability in software which was not installed by our team).
Our training includes technical, operational and business/marketing issues.
