alsoapply.ForPh.D.inBSBE,candidatewithMBBS,B.PharmaorM.PharmaDegreemayalsoapply.
Ph.D.(Sciences&HSS):M.Sc./BE/BS(4Yr)/MADegreeinrespectiveoralliedareawithavalidGATE/UGC/CSIRscore.

M.Des.:Theapplicantsmusthaveabachelor'sdegreeinEngineeringorscience(4yearprogram),DesignorArchitecturewithmarks/CPInot
belowthespecifiedminimumwithavalidGATE/CEEDscore.CandidatesholdingdegreesinFineArtsorInteriorDesignarenoteligibleto
apply.
EligibilityforAdmissionandReservationofSeats
Theeligibilityconditionsgivenbelowaretheabsoluteminimum.Departmentsmayprescribeanyrequirementsoverandabove.
1. Thespecifiedminimum marks/CPI (Cumulative Performance Index), referred to in subsequent sections, implies a minimum of 55 percent

marks /5.5 (on a 10 point scale) as long as it is not less than the minimum pass marks/CPI otherwise, the specified minimum marks/CPI
impliestheminimumpassmarks/CPI.
2. ThenumberofadmissionthatcanbemadetoanyprogrammeshallbeasdecidedbytheSenatefromtimetotime.
3. Reservations (for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PD shall apply as per Government of India rules. The certificate for the same must be in the format
specified.
FinancialAssistance
Financialaid(Assistantship/Scholarship)isavailabletotheM.Tech.,Ph.D.andM.Sc.Ph.D.(Dualdegree)Programmes.
Student is expected to carry out the assigned duties for teaching and Research Assistantship. The M.Tech./M.Des student currently carries a
monthlystipendofRs.12,400/for8hoursofworkperweek.ForPh.D.studentsthecorrespondingfinancialassistance(forEngg./Sciences/Social
Sciences)isRs.25,000/forthefirsttwoyearsandthereafteritisraisedtoRs.28,000/respectivelyforanothertwoyears.A50%tuitionfeewaiver
forM.Sc.Ph.D.(Dualdegree)studentsisalsoavailableafterthefirstsemester.
InadditiontothisseveralattractivefellowshipsfromIndustries/DAEarealsoavailable.
