CAD draftsman

Job Description
Main Purpose of Job:
To provide layouts, general arrangements and detailed technical drawings on AutoCAD &
SolidWorks in accordance with Trimline quality assurance standards and clients project
specifications
Principal Tasks :
1. Liaise with design department to obtain clear specifications
2. Support the design department and contract managers with necessary drawings from concept to
handover.
3. Create detailed CAD drawings for production
4. Create detailed CAD drawing for on site work
5. Liaise with Joinery Manager to understand needs
6. Liaise with external manufactures to under stand needs
7. Carry out site surveys
8. Solve fabrication problems
9. Continuously look for and suggest ways to improve the process
10. Follow Trimline quality control procedures
11. Promote and maintain Health and Safety across projects, teams and business
12. Other duties requested by management in support of the Trimline team.
Essential requirements of job holder:
1. Several years CAD experience in a joinery environment or manufacturing role.
2. Methodical and organised
3. Pays attention to detail
4. Good communication skills, especially in writing (email) and on phone
5. Builds relationships with internal and external contacts
6. Willing and able to take the initiative and solve fabrication problems
7. Comfortable complying with procedures
8. Willing to take the initiative to resolve a problem
9. Good joinery production knowledge
10. Good accurate CAD skills, used in a joinery environment
11. Thorough experience of working with AutoCAD essential.
12. Experience of using SolidWorks is desirable, though training can be provided to those with
thorough AutoCAD skills
13. Literacy and numeracy skills at Level 2 (equivalent to 5 GCSEs)

Welder
Job Description
1. Attend work on the schedule established by the employer and without excessive
absenteeism
2. Follow all safe work practices
3. Obtain parts and materials
4. Access area to be welded by climbing ladder if needed
5. Use disc grinder to smooth out, weld, or grind parts prior to welding
6. Operate manual and automated welding units and equipment by depositing metal from
electrode to work piece and join edges of work piece
7. Maintain length of arc and speed movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead
8. Weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding)
9. Examine weld for bead size and other specifications
10. Grind or clean weld join of work piece
11. Repair improperly welded pieces and fill holes
12. Position and clamp work pieces together or assemble them in a jig fixture
13. Tack assemblies together
14. Fabricate new or replacement parts for dump trucks, trailers, and wheel wash unit
15. Assemble component parts using hand and small power tools
16. May change hoses, fitting, air valves, suspension parts, etc.
17. Clean up work area daily
Safety Officer
Job Description
1. Circulate material received from Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to appropriated
members of the department
2. Inspect the department to ensure the workplace meets the various safety requirements
3. Ensure that monthly inspection of Fire Extinguishers, Exit Lights and Emergency Lighting,
are carried out
4. Respond to reports of unsafe condition by requesting repairs or maintenance. In some
circumstances, material may have to be prepared for annual submission to the Repairs and
Alterations budget.
5. Accompany staff from Department of Environmental Health and Safety, Joint Health and
Safety Committies, and external agencies during workplace inspections.
6. Follow up on any deficiencies noted during inspections, and ensure that they are corrected.
7. Assist EHS with investigating all accidents and send reports to the Department of
Environmental Health and Safety. Ensure the completion of incident report/accident report
so Workers Compensation Board can be notified of all accidents.
8. Notify EHS of critical accidents, unsafe conditions or work refusals
9. Ensure all staff receive the information with respect to Fire Safety, Chemical Safety,
Radiation Safety, Biohazard Safety, First Aid Training, Mandatory Training
10. Keep the department Head informed on all of the above
11. Maintain departmental safety bulletin board
Construction Supervisor
Job Description
1. Responsible fotr the day-today operations of build sites, including leading and managing
crew leaders, volunteers and future/current home owners on specific construction task.
Volunteers will have varying levels of construction experience and skill and so they must be

mentored and supervised closely

2. Deliver consistent and high quality work utilizing industry standard methodologoies and
materials
3. Coordinate with Project Manager on all sub-contractor scheduling and material ordering
4. Monitor and supervise sub-contractor on the site
5. Ensure build site has tools and materials needed for day's task
6. Responsible for taking deliveries of materials and supplies; ensures all tools and materials
are maintained and safeguarded
7. Directly responsible for the signing off of permits and inspections
8. Revies and offer suggestion to the project manager's schedule and implement with little or
minimal direction
9. Adhere to safety policy and practices, and create a positive and encouraging work
atmosphere
10. Available after hours, as is reasonable, for emergencies
11. Operate and maintain all company vehicles
Senior Construction Engineer
Job Description
1. Cultivate relationships with new and existing with new and existing clients to provide
Construction Engineer services for facilities site design
2. Attend and participate in munipical hearings and clients meetings
3. Review, approve and seal calculatios, technical documents and drawings
4. Develop probable construction cost estimate for projects
5. Direct and supervise the activites of Engineers, Designers and Drafters
6. Proven leadership and communication skill with project groups and clients
7. Ability to work indeendently, as well as mentor staff engineers
8. Capable and experienced in managing and performing projects in a fast paced environment.
