POLICY FOR SHIFTING OF GENERAL INDUSTRIAL AND

TUBEWELL CONNECTIONS.

To evolve a uniform policy to deal with shifting of General Industrial and Tubewell
Connections, following instructions are laid down, in suppression of circular No.3017-28/
GMCS/D(R&CP)/55717 dated 27.01.1992 and No.1576-1620/M(P) /GMCS/ DD(R&CP)
/55717 dated 29.11.1999.
(A)

SHIFTING OF GENERAL CONNECTIONS

Load sanctioning authority will approve shifting of the connections governed under General
Tariff A1 & A2 subject to the following terms and conditions:

The new proposed site is within same Sub-Division.

The new proposed site is in the name of owner of the connection or of connection will
also be case new site is in the name of legal heir, Change of Name of connection
will also be processed simultaneously as per relevant rules.
III. The consumer agrees to bear the dismantlement charges, re-installation charges and
cost of extra material and equipment required for shifting of connection.
IV. The consumer agrees to update Security Deposit as per prevalent rates.
V. There are no arrears outstanding against the connection.
(B)

SHIFTING OF TUBEWELL CONNECTIONS.

Load sanctioning authority will approve shifting of Tubewell Connection

governed under Tariff-D subject to the following terms and conditions:I.

The new proposed site is within same Sub-Division.

The new proposed site is in the name of same land owner or of his legal heir duly
verified from Land Revenue Record. In case new site is in the name of legal heir,
Change of Name of connection will also be processed simultaneously as per relevant
rules.
III. The consumer agrees to bear the dismantlement charges, re-installation charges and
cost of extra material and equipment required for shifting of connection.
IV. The consumer agrees to update Security Deposit as per prevalent rates.
V. There are no arrears outstanding against the connection.
(C)

INDUSTRIAL CONNECTION.

Load sanctioning authority will approve shifting of the connection governed

Industrial Supply tariffs subject to the following terms and conditions:-

I. The new proposed site is within same Division.

II. The new proposed site is in the name of owner of the connection or in the name of
his legal heir. In case new site is in the name of legal heir, Change of Name of
connection will also be processed simultaneously as per relevant rules. If connection
is being shifted in a rented building, land owner has given N.O.C. for installation of
connection in proposed premises.
III. Except connections governed under industrial supply tariff B-I (upto 40 KW), load
position/voltage drop of feeder at new proposed site remains within permissible
limits.
IV. The consumer agrees to bear the dismantlement charges, re-installation charges and
cost of extra material and equipments required for shifting of connection.
V. The connection having sanctioned load above 15 KW will be allowed through
independent transformer at new site.
VI. The shifting of connection upto 15 KW may be allowed from the combined
transformer exclusively meant for industrial/tubewell connections, on payment of
cost as per Cost Sharing Scheme circulated vide No.20328/MDD/GMCS/DG(R&CP)/58006 dated 31s t January, 1996 and amendments
thereof. However if the cost of the transformer, whether full or under Sharing
Scheme had already been borne by the consumer, it would not be recoverable at the
time of shifting, if being energized after shifting from an existing transformer having
capacity available.
VII. The consumer agrees to update Security Deposit as per prevalent rates.
VIII. There are no arrears outstanding against the connection.
