Dear Friend of Our Lady,
By the time you read this letter, I will probably be in Rome.
While I cannot tell you the exact date, I am going there to appeal in person to
the Holy Father, asking for his help in the struggle against those Vatican
bureaucrats who are trying to destroy Our Lady's Apostolate.
For many months now, I have warned you that these powerful forces seeking to
silence Our Lady and Her Fatima Message will never rest until this Apostolate is
suppressed once and for all!
It is clear now that they have declared total WAR on me or any priest who
"dares" to bring you and other faithful Catholics the full Message of Fatima...
In Christian charity, I must pray and hope that they do not know what they are
doing...
And in my heart, I truly forgive them.

But it remains my Christian duty and my solemn obligation as an

ordained priest to fight them with all my strength and with every
faculty Almighty God has given me. (See "Father Gruner Answers Your
Questions" in this issue.)
Believe me, it is not for myself alone that I am fighting.
Everything for Jesus and Mary!
There would be nothing easier than to give up this Fatima Apostolate
(as they have demanded!) and become a comfortable curate in some local
parish.
But Our Blessed Mother did not come to Fatima to make Her priests comfortable
or self-satisfied.
She came to give each and every one of Her children (cleric and lay person
alike) a Message to transform the world and bring about the peace that is the
triumph of Her Immaculate Heart!
I cannot ... and I will not rest until I have done all I can to fulfill this great and
beautiful promise.
Priests and religious under attack!
You may find it incredible that at a time when priests like Matthew Fox and
Francesco Boff are openly promoting witchcraft and Communism that certain
Vatican officials find it "necessary" to persecute priests who are doing all in their
power to defend and promote the Faith of our Fathers and love for Our Lady.
Yet in the last six weeks, we have received dozens of calls and letters
from priests and religious across the U.S. and Canada telling of
continual harassment and persecution from Vatican and other High
Church officials.
Only last month, Father Roger Griese in Dayton, Ohio was threatened with
suspension from his ministry for the "crime" of refusing Holy Communion to
people dressed in shorts and mini-skirts.
This is despite the fact that such attire is absolutely forbidden in churches in
Rome itself!
Like myself, Father Griese too has appealed to the Pope for help in his struggle
against those who are working to undermine and destroy our Holy Faith from
within.

"Woe to the Inhabitants of the Earth"

For more than 150 years, Our Blessed Mother has repeatedly warned us of the
terrible spiritual chastisement that today is tearing our Church apart at the
seams.
At La Salette in 1846, She foretold that "the Church will witness a frightful
crisis" and "a time of darkness."
"Woe to the inhabitants of the Earth," She said, "the society of men is on the
eve of the most terrible scourges and gravest events ... the Holy Father will
suffer a great deal."
71 years later at Fatima, the Mother of God again repeated Her solemn
warnings, pleading with us to "pray, pray a great deal for the Holy Father,"
whom She predicted would be horribly persecuted.
As we have recently learned, Our Lady's 3rd Fatima Secret almost certainly
concerns the grave crisis of Faith that is gripping the Church. Father Alonso, the
official archivist of Fatima for 15 years, has said:
"It is completely probable that the text of the Third Secret makes
concrete references to the crisis of faith within the Church and to the
negligence of the pastors themselves."
But in this terrible crisis it is not only priests who are suffering and in grave
danger...
Our Lord and Lady need YOU!
You need only to look as far as your own hometown or parish to know that all of
us are in the midst of the greatest battle in all of human history.
It is not just a battle against godless Communism or the drugs, pornography,
abortion and blasphemy that threaten to destroy our families, homes and
nation.
My dear friend, you and I are fighting against all the powers of hell and against
satan himself!
The devil has arrayed his full fiendish resources against our Holy Faith, focusing
them with special hatred on Our Lady and Her Fatima Message.
We are truly at the crossroads! Our Lord and Our Lady urgently need our help in
this great battle for our Faith, our children and our homes.

Your Help is Essential!!

As priests and religious from across the country turn in desperation to the Holy
Father, your prayers and support are more crucial than ever before.
For hundreds of beleaguered priests and religious, The Fatima
Crusader and Our Lady's radio and television programs are the only
voices "crying out in the wilderness."
It is the only beacon of light to hundreds of thousands who would
otherwise be confused by the spiritual battle attacking God and Our
Lady.

This issue of The Fatima Crusader alone has cost more than $150,000 to put
into your hands.
As you know, we do not have any stocks or bonds or millions (no, not even
thousands) of dollars put safely away in bank accounts for "rainy days ..."
In the struggle to pay these huge bills, I have no other choice: I must depend
on you and others who love Our Lady.
Only your offerings of love and faith can allow us to continue bringing
Our Lady's Message to you and millions of others!
That is why I must come to you again and beg humbly, but urgently for your
continuing prayers and financial support.
Your special sacrifice of $1000, $500, $250 or even $100 coupled with your
prayers will allow Our Lady's Fatima words to reach out and
touch millions of souls!

we desperately need to continue the critical work of the Apostolate.
