PERUVIAN PSYCHOMOTOR DEVELOPMENT TEST

The Peruvian psychomotor development test is an instrument for the

evaluation of child development from 0 months to 30 months; this test
evaluates postural - motor behavior, visual-motor behavior, language
behavior, social behavior and intelligence.
The general objective of this instrument is evaluate the profile of child
development, under prescribed conditions and the specific objective is
evaluate the behavior by direct observation during the performance of
milestones. It should be noted that prevents ambiguity in the answers. The
information required from the mother is very simple (answer: true or false).
DESCRIPTION:
In the horizontal line of instrument are located evaluation ages; on the
vertical line are described the behavioral lines : Control of the head and
sitting trunk (A), control head and trunk rotations (B) Control gear head and
trunk (C), using the arm and hand (D), Vision (E) Hearing ( F),
Comprehensive Language (G), expressive language (H), social behavior (I),
Food and hygiene dress (J) Game (K), Intelligence and Learning (L).

The landmarks located in the age coordinate and line and behavior line , the
blanks are equivalent to the immediately preceding milestone.

RECORD RESULTS:
After the assessment, the marks of each one of the milestones achieved will
be joined by a line which depart from chronological age (which is circled)
until the last mark.
This continuous line obtained will be the profile of the development of the
girl child or evaluated; left deviation are considered delayed and and
deviations to the right, progress in the development of lines of
corresponding behavior.
Blanks in scheme, means that the immediately preceding milestone is still
developing during the stretch of these spaces and can be marked as correct
in the chronological month in which the child is being evaluated, naturally if
the implementation of that landmark is successful
INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS:
- When the girl and the boy executed all behaviors assessed as
corresponding to chronological age is classified as Normal Development
- When the child does not execute one or more of the behaviors evaluated
according to chronological age and the reading corresponding profile is:

Left deviation of a month in one landmark. Left deviation of a month

in two or more milestones, left deviation of two months or more in a
single milestone, left deviation of two months or more on two or more
landmarks, deviation to the left of one landmark associated with a
risk factor; It is classified as developmental disorder
If the line of development is diverted to the right of the current
chronological age, is classified as advance development
