WHAT IS HOLINESS?
1.Holiness is to be perfect in nature without any blemish
2. To be holy is to be set apart and highly exhaulted in words, in value (sacred
, santified). It is used to described both God and man.
3. To be Holy is to be morally clean and excellent. God is very clean and every
thing about Him must be clean. Cleanliness is Godliness.
Isa 6:1-4, Rev 4:6-8
In hebrew culture, when a word is repeated 3 times, it means perfection. Holy, H
oly, Holy means that God is perfect in holiness.
The vision of Isaiah and Vision looked similar. Several creature praising the ho
liness of God. Even though we know that God is good, powerful, kind etc but it a
ppears that His holiness takes priority over every other things.
**** Holiness is the nature of God. He is clean, perfect and no impurity in God.
It means every thing is clean and spotless.
A perfectionist ensures that everything is clean and in order.
**** Holiness is not just the nature of God, Holiness is also the atmosphere whe
re He operates. The place God chooses to meet with people becomes holy exo 3. Wh
en we allow Him into our homes, it becomes Holy. Wherever we invite Him to, it b
ecomes holy. If we create unholy environment, He cannot operate.
**** Holiness is the basis of God's action. Whatever God does is clean. The end
product of the works of God is holy.
**** Holiness is God's basis of relationship. If God does not see Holiness in us
, he cannot relate with us. Unholy things has to depart from us for god to relat
e with us.
For us to operate in the supernatural, we must create the environment of Holines
s.
When you come to the present of God things are shaken because they are unholy an
d have to give way. For a priest to appear before God he must bbe Holy.
Leviticus 19:1-2 We the children of God must be holy. If you are serious about m
aking God as youur father then you must be holy lev 20:26.
1. God called us to be as He is. If He is holy, we must be holy. We aspire to Ho
liness because naturally our nature is not holy. But God is Holy because that's
His nature.
2. God wants us to be separated from all unholy things so that we can be His exc
lusively. When you become a child of God we have been separated from this world.
If you have been separated, then you must not envy the people we have been sepa
rated from.
3. Living holy before God is choice we make. It is our choice to choose whom to
serve.
4. Our identity in life is linked to our identity in God. We more we know Him, t
he more we know ourselves. Most things we do are as a result of trying to get id
entity from the people around you.
Tunde whom do you belong to. Who do you want to belong to. you have to belong to

God. Heb 12:14-15, isaiah 59:1-2, matt 5:8, If you want to see God, you must se
e it through Holiness.
1. Living Holy life require effort.
2. We experience God glory when we lib=ve in hioliness
3. Living in Sin reduces the experience of God in our lives.
