Purpose:

Scope:

This procedure describes the methods adopted to identify


training needs to ensure personnel performing quality
related functions have the appropriate experience and
instructions to enable them to perform their functions
All personnel employed by Civcon performing duties which
have an impact on construction or process quality

To ensure that all employees have the necessary


competence, education, training and skills to carry out the
duties assigned to them.

The scope of the quality management


system or project is identified
The necessary personnel needed to achieve
the scope or project requirements are
identified
Competency requirements for each position
within the company or project are
determined.

Training needs / requirements for each


employee are identified. Discussion of
training needs is also undertaken during
management review.
A yearly training program is compiled and
personnel are informed of the relevant
courses and dates.

Training is conducted.
External training is evaluated by the training
provider. Internal training is conducted by on
the job training. The effectiveness of this
training is evaluated by the Site Agent /
Contracts Manager / Construction director
and by conducting internal audits and
reviewing improvement requests. Records
shall be maintained.
Employees progress is continually monitored
throughout the course of the project.

New employees are given induction and


awareness training, on their job requirements
and quality and safety matters. Records shall
be maintained.
Should quality objectives, procedures,
processes or work instructions be updated,
awareness training on the applicable
documents will be given to the relevant
personnel. Records shall be maintained
