Verbo have got (Simple present tense)


Para hablar de posesin se usa el verbo tener (have y have got). Have got lo usamos a menudo en el
ingls hablado. Ambos usos del verbo tienen el mismo significado. En esta unidad relacionaremos este
verbo con las partes del cuerpo.

Examples:

He has (got) big ears

She has (got) a lot of energy

We have (got) the best school.... They have (got) Internet at home!

No se usa got en las respuestas de preguntas de s o no.

Las palabras and y but acompaan generalmente para unir oraciones.


Para realizar descripciones refirindose a alguna parte del cuerpo se suele usar have got. Tambin se
utiliza algunos adjetivos como: small, big, long, short, los colores (brown, white, blue, green,
red,black, yellow/blond(e), etc.) y se ubican delante del sustantivo:
Examples:
Alberto has got blond hair but he hasnt got blue eyes.
They have got brown hair and brown eyes.

Los imperativos se usan para dar rdenes, alentar a las


personas a hacer cosas, dar sugerencias y seguir instrucciones. Se utiliza la forma bsica del verbo
sin el to infinitivo (come/go/do/wait/be, etc).
