Opening Scene

Narrator/Player 1: Hello Im Nana and Im going to teach you how to play the exciting
bonanza card game from Daffodils.
The main objective of the Bonanza card game is for players to form whole numbers with
their cards.
CONTENT: In a pack of the Bonanza card game, there are 63 cards made of 58 normal
cards and 5 super cards. We have the multiplication, addition, subtraction and division and
the super card which has no arithmetic symbol and the player who has it determines the
symbol to go with it.
NUMBER OF PLAYERS: This game can be played between 2 people and a maximum of 7
players. All you need is a flat surface, then you play 5 rounds of game, at the end of each
round, you record the scores and at the end of the fifth round, all the scores are recorded
and the winner declared.
TWO WINNER RULES: There are 2 winner rules; that is Sunrise and Sunset winner rules.
For sunrise, the player with the highest totalled whole number after all the rounds have been
played is the winner of the game been played.
Then for sunset, the player with the lowest totalled whole number after all the rounds have
been played is the winner. So lets Get or game on as we head to the table to play.
PREPARING TO START and PLAYING THE GAME: This is the Bonanza card deck with the
63 cards. Players decide on which game they want to play, either Sunset or Sunrise. Which
one should we play first?

Player 2: Sunrise, the highest whole number.

I shuffle the cards, thoroughly and serve out 8 cards, one card at a time. Players have 3
minutes maximum to lay their arranged cards on the flat surface to see. This is called the
straight set game where players lay their arranged cards on the flat surface after a maximum
of 3 minutes. When the cards are laid down, always remember the 1st card rule, which
states the operator on the 1st card doesnt count or is NULL. Never forget. Note: Players are
allowed to use the calculator. *Winner shows excitement and is high fived by the
rest of the players*.
With excitement, the winner asks that they play sunset, thats the lowest whole number.
Player 2: *Shuffles the card and shares them*.
Narrator: Since we played the previous game in the straight set mode, we will play this, in
the Turn-Play mode. With this game, players place their cards on the table, one after the
other, in a format that will cause them to win the game. So with Turn Play, you see each
others cards as they are being played. After each player has finished placing their cards, the
arranged cards are calculated and a winner is declared.
