The following 60 questions are based on the safety handbook for the Grove model RT 990
rubber tired crane. The purpose of this open-book test is to determine that the operatorcandidate is able to locate important information from the manufacturer's manual.
Although this test is open-book, operator-candidates may not work together to answer
questions, share answers between themselves, or obtain outside help from anyone other
than the instructor.
To pass this test, the operator-candidate must correctly answer 45 of the 60 questions. Of
the 60 questions, there are 10 critical questions that are marked with asterisks (*). The
operator-candidate must correctly answer all ten of these critical questions.
In the space to the right of each question, write the page number on which you found the
