as the students are finding it difficult

Review
Phonics
This week in phonics the students
will go back to the first set of letters
sss, aaa, ttt, iii, ppp, nnn ccc/kkk,
eee, hhh, rrr, mmm, ddd, ggg, ooo,
uuu, lll, bbb and fff. This week the
students will review these sounds
without the Jolly Phonics flashcards
which has photographic images,
but this week we will begin to focus
on the letters to prepare them for
writing practice next week. the
basic letters to prepare them for
writing practice.

Vocabulary: Vocabulary: Pencil, crayon, coloured pencil, marker, eraser, ruler, glue,
scissors, book, paper, board, bin, chair, table, desk, door, lights, clock, window, Cd player,

Sentence structures: What is it? It is a

Activity: Classroom object activity page: Students will complete an activity page focusing
on colours and the classroom objects. They will be asked to colour certain objects certain
colours.
Games:
Pass the bag (pace the parcel) This game involves a bag containing classroom items
and is passed around while the music is playing and once the music stops the student
that has the bag gets to pick an item and guesses the vocabulary of the item.
Musical chairs - The chairs are arranged in a circle, facing outwards, with the players
standing outside of the circle. Once the music starts, players begin walking around the
circle. When the music stops, the players must sit in a chair as fast as they can. The
person left standing is out of the game, one more chair is removed and the game
continues.
Basketball The students will pull a vocabulary out of a box and when they say the right
vocabulary they will throw the ball into a hoop!

New (letters/sounds/vocabulary)
This week in phonics the students will learn the final set of six letters of the Jolly
Phonics programs. These letter sounds are: jjj, zzz, www, yyy, xxx and qqq. We
