Narrator:
(Mead hall, have people drinking or something)
King Hrothgar, from the line of King Scyld, was the king of the Danes. They had enjoyed a
long period of peace and successful battles. The king's wealth allowed him to build a giant
mead hall, 40 feet by 80 feet where his soldiers can enjoy mead and party out. At the end
of their festivities, they would all crash here for the night, sleeping.
(Mead hall, night)
Grendel soon comes in, crashing the soldier's party.
Grendel: I can't stand your sounds of happiness, you'll now experience death!
Soldiers: We don't think so!
(Battle scene)
*Grendel casts a spell*
Soldiers: What! Our weapons are useless!
Grendel: You mere mortals shall die now!
*Grendel goes towards the men, but before anything else happens, the scene changes
briefly to a "Please stand by" scene. Lots of screaming in the back*
(Ruined town scene)
Narrator: For twelve years the beast came back and killed
more of the people in the kingdom. Many had fled
from the mead hall back other parts in hopes to
not get killed.
The word of the beast soon spread across the land
and into the neighboring country of the Geats. A
hero heard the story and soon set off to help King
Hrothgar.
This is the story of Beowulf, the hero.
Beowulf soon reaches the country of the Danes,
where he immediately goes to the capital where
Hrothgar hails.
