IMPORTANT GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:


(a) The Posts are temporary but likely to continue and carries DA and CA/SCA at
Central Government rates stationed at Shimla. Selected incumbent will be on
probation for a period of two years and will be governed by the New Pension
Scheme (NPS).
(b) The filled in application form (Available on our website: www.iias.ac.in)
complete in all respects along with the required documents should be
addressed to the Secretary, Indian Institute of Advanced Study,

(c) Candidates already in service must apply through proper channel.
(d) The applications should also be accompaniedby Bank Draft/Demand Draft of
Rs.500/- for General Category and Rs.300/- for Reserved Categories
(SC/ST/OBC) drawn on any nationalized bank payable at Shimla in favour

application fee as per Govt. of India rules. Candidate is required to apply

Applications are invited from the Bonafide Citizens of India for the
Recruitment to the posts of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) unskilled in Pay
Band I (Rs. 5200 20200) and carrying Grade Pay of Rs. 1800/- in
the Office of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Rashtrapati Nivas,
Shimla 171 005, Himachal Pradesh.

Important General Instructions:


1.

The posts are temporary but likely to be continued and carry DA and
CA/SCA at Central Government rates stationed at Shimla. Selected
employees will be on probation for a period of two years and will be
governed by the New Pension Scheme (NPS).

The candidate should be between 18 to 28 years of age as on 1 st of


June 2015

3.

Age relaxation to SC/ST/OBC as per Government of India instructions


(5/3 years respectively).

4.

The minimum required educational qualification is Matriculation.

5.

Candidates are requested to submit self-attested copies of educational


qualification(s), experience and certificate in support of (SC/ST/OBC)
along with the application.

The Institute reserves the right to hold a written test.

7.

The application should be accompanied by Bank Draft/ Demand Draft


of Rs. 500/- for General Category candidates and Rs. 300/- for
candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) drawing on
any nationalized bank payable at Shimla in favour of the Secretary,
IIAS, Shimla. The female candidates are exempted from the
application fee as per Govt. of India instructions.

The candidate should carefully read the instructions in this


Employment Notice for filling up application form. Application should be
made on a good quality white paper of A4 size (210 mm x 297mm)
using One Side only. The candidate should use the FORMAT published
in the Employment Notice. The Candidates have to fill up required
information with Black Pen/Black Point Pen in his/her own handwriting.
The application form should be filled up either in English or in Hindi
and not in any other language and should attach self-attested
certificates.

Candidates should mention, Application for the Post of MultiTasking Staff on the top of the envelope containing the application.

10.

The applications should reach the Office of the Secretary, Indian


Institute of Advanced Study, RashtrapatiNivas, Shimla-171 005
along with complete documents by post/by hand within a period of 30
days from the date of advertisement in the Employment News.
Application received after 5.30 PM on due date for any reason
whatsoever, will not be considered.

Please note that the Applications not submitted as per the instructions
would be liable to be rejected. No further correspondence on this
account will be entertained.

12.

Competent Authority reserves the right to cancel part or whole of


recruitment process at any stage in this employment notice without
assigning any reason thereof.

13.

Competent Authority may relax age, as per rules of the Indian Institute
of Advanced Study, Shimla Service Bye-Laws in exceptional cases.

14.

Weightage will be given for educational qualification and relevant work


experience.

15.

Under MTS category the selected candidates will be required to


perform any or all of the following duties and any other work assigned
from time to time:
(a)

Physical Maintenance of records of the sections.

(b)

General Cleanliness & upkeep of the Sections

(c)

Carrying of files & other papers within/outside the campus

(d)

Photocopying, sending Fax etc.,

(e)

Assisting in routine office work like diary, dispatch etc., including on


computers

(f)

Delivering of Dak (within Section and outside)

(g)

All other non-clerical work in the Section

(h)

Watch and ward duties

(i)

Opening & closing of rooms

(j)

Dusting of furniture etc.,

(k)

Cleaning of building, fixtures etc.,

(l)

Serving in the Mess, Gardens and Library for all type of unskilled
work.
