Operations Support Engineer - Job Description

P2i is a high technology company with a worldwide customer base and has its head office in Milton Park,
Abingdon, Oxfordshire. P2i operates in the UK, US and Asia and is currently experiencing a period of fast
growth. We have doubled in size to 80 heads in the last year and are continuing to expand our numbers.
We have a vacancy for an experienced Operations Support Engineer to join our team. The successful
candidate will ensure that the implementation of P2is technology is delivered effectively and efficiently. This
role, which requires extensive foreign travel, will include machine and facility installation, maintenance and
product & customer support as well as ensuring customer compliance to P2is QMS. We are looking for a team
player with excellent communication and problem solving skills who will professionally represent the company
to our customers.
Reports to: Group Service & Support Manager
Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire
Job Purpose:
To ensure that the implementation of P2is technology is delivered effectively and efficiently. This role will
include machine & facility installation, maintenance & support. To ensure customer compliance to P2is QMS.
As P2i is still an early-stage company, a degree of broader activities will fall into this role.

International travel (up to 75%)
Key Skills
Broad technical skills (physical sciences) and knowledge of implementation across a wide range of
industries including Electrical/electronic engineering
Understanding of Customer requirements and interpretation of needs vs expectations
Relationship management and interpersonal skills
Communication, influencing and negotiating and assertiveness skills
QA/QC process and procedures, implementation
Project implementation & management
Problem solving and decision making, sound judgment
PC literate with PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Word and report writing skills

Travel: This post will require extensive travel overseas for extended periods of time as required by P2i
Other Duties: Specialist projects as agreed with the line Manager to support the business requirements of the
organisation. In addition, the Operations Support Engineer will be prepared to carry out any other reasonable
duties requested.
