Impact of the Child Abuse to Society

The consequences of child abuse are serious. Child abuse can affect the future
of life also extends many social problems. It will cause associated with physical and
psychological trauma of life in children and have a causal effect on social and
professional may eventually slowed the countrys economic and social development.
Child abuse has a devastating effect on society. Children who have been
abused are at a great risk of developing serious psychological problems. This
psychological problem can have an immense impact on the society that these
individuals live in. The combination of psychological symptoms experienced by child
abuse victims can cause them to have extreme difficulties with relationships. Many
victims of child abuse will grow into adults with anxiety and severe depression and
also abuse their own children.
Besides that, some victims of child abuse grew up with a negative outlook
towards the society. When they grew up their frustration and anger towards society
come out in form of revenge. It has been seen that many serial killers or rapist had
history of child abuse and they have accepted that to reduce their pain and frustration
they started committing the crime. Thus, such children become dangerous for the
society in long term and also increases juvenile crime in the society
Furthermore, such children become easily addicted to drugs, alcohol and sex
as ways of escape. Girls who experienced child abuse will often engage in increased
sexual activity as a result of their low self-esteem. These girls are also at a high risk
for teen pregnancy. This will cause the society occur many baby abandonment cases
and inappropriate sexual behavior cases. Boys who have been victimized sexually are
also at a higher risk for engaging in unprotected sex and initiating rape. Some victims
of child abuse will inflict harm on themselves through the use and subsequent abuse
of illegal substances. However, while one might initially assume that these behaviors
only affect the individual, they actually play significant role in generating more
substances abuser and the drug culture of our society. This causes bad trend and
problems to the society.
Moreover, victims of child abuse may have difficulties to study in school and
has a poor performance in school. This leading them to poorer employment prospects

later in life and placing them at a higher risk of living in poverty. This may slowed the
countrys economic and social development. In addition, they develop disbelief in
social institutions like family and marriage and believe more in individualism and
disinterest towards everything. They prefer to live alone and spend a lonely life. Thus,
either they dont contribute in productivity or dont contribute according to their
capabilities. So this way they become burden for the society and communities.
