TRIANGULO DE JACKSON
Es un espacio triangular limitado
por debajo por la parte inferior
del cartlago tiroides, con el
vrtice en la horquilla
supraesternal y los lados
coincidiendo con los bordes
internos de los msculos
esternocleidomastoideos.
Se denomina tringulo de
seguridad de Jackson porque
incluye el lmite del rea a travs
del cual puede incidirse la trquea
para hacer una traqueotoma.

M. ESTERNOCLEIDOMASTOIDEO:
Es un musculo largo, grueso y de forma
rectangular que se extiende en forma
diagonal por la regin anterolateral del
cuello desde el manubrio esternal y
extremo interno de la clavcula, hasta la
apfisis mastoides y lnea curva occipital
superior.
Se le llama el Cuadrceps del cuello, por
presentar 4 fascculos: (Fign-Gario,
2007).
-Esternomastoideo
-Esternooccipital
-Cleidoomastoideo
-Cleidooccipital
Segn Testud-Latarjet (1975) le llam
ESTERNOCLEIDOMASTOIDEOOCCIPITAL,
Musculo Cuadrigmino o Cuadrceps de la
Cabeza.

ESTERNOCLEIDOMASTODEO (ECM)

Origen:

Apfisis mastoides.

Insercin:

Esternn.
Clavcula.

Funcin:

Inspirador.
Rotacin de la cabeza al lado
contrario, inclinacin lateral y leve
extensin

El msculo ECM, es voluminoso, lo ms

destacable es la formacin de una fosa entre los
dos fascculos (el esternal y el clavcular)
llamada fosa supraclavicular menor donde es
posible acceder a la ltima porcin de la vena
Yugular interna y al nervio frnico.
