Architect - Individual licensed to practise architecture in the United States of America.
Membership in AIA National required.
Associate Member - Individual without an architectural license in the US, but:
Holding a professional degree in architecture, or
Working under the supervision of a US licensed architect, or
Involved in administration, research or teaching of architecture
Membership in AIA National required.
International Associate - Individual holder of architecture license or equivalent from a non US
licensing authority, and without a US license. Membership in AIA National required.
Emeritus - An AIA Member for 15 successive years and 70 years of age, or 60 years of age and
fully retired, or incapacitated so as to be unable to work in the profession.
Professional Afliate - Professionals who are afliated with the profession of architecture or a
related design profession.
Student - A full-time student pursuing a degree in architecture.

Method of Payment
If joining in the Architect, International Associate, or Associate categories, AIA ME Chapter dues will be invoiced by
National AIA in US dollars. If joining in the Allied Professional category, AIA ME Chapter dues can be paid by cash,
check or bank transfer; please contact AIA ME Membership directly for details.
