E XPERIENCE
Professional Experience
Applied Micro, Pune
Design Engineer II
A UG 2010-A PRIL 2012
Worked on designing of SATA 2.0 and USB 3.0 block on SOC level. Work involved integrating Synopsys AHSATA
core, designing the glue and support logic in Verilog.
Worked on Queue manager interface. Work involved improvement of the block design, bug fixes and its verification. Module works as block side interface for inter-block communication using queue management.
Worked on verification of complete chip. Work involved experience with System Verilog and Open Verification
Methodology (OVM), creating of test cases and debugging the issues.

Work involved simulation environment development and performance analysis of active antenna system with
stochastic and ray tracing model and DIDO system.
Academic Internships
Cranfield University,UK
Guide: Dr Shaun A Forth
M AY 2008-J UNE 2008
Development of MAD package for Efficient Reverse mode Automatic Differentiation: Developed the MAD
package for revaluation of global tape in reverse mode AD. Succeeded to increase the performance by more
than 5 times in the sense of computation time. The package has been sold to TOMLAB Optimization.
Development of Gradient Enhanced PSO: Developed a new hybrid algorithm of optimization titled GEPSO on
the concepts of particle swarm optimization and gradient methods with automatic differentiation (now known
as GRASP). Tested the algorithm over 7 benchmark functions and confirmed fast convergence than PSO. Also
worked over application of PSO on collision avoidance problem of UAV.
