WhatisExpandedOrgasm?
ItwillbeeasierforyoutounderstandExpandedOrgasmifIfirstcontrastit
with other kinds of orgasm. Lets start with Regular Orgasmthe type
youreprobablymostfamiliarwith.
Okay,WhatisaRegularOrgasm?
Regular Orgasm is the typical male orgasm, though most women

experiencethistypeoforgasm,too,thoughitmaytakelongerthanitdoes
foraman,andwomenoftenliketoexperiencealongerclimbwithmore
plateaus.
InRegularOrgasm,theexperienceisfocusedinthegenitals,endingwitha
kindofexplosionorintenseclimaxwith8to10contractionsofthepelvic
muscles. These contractions are about a second apart, and are usually
intenselypleasurable.
Thefamoussexresearchesfromthe60s,MastersandJohnson,described
fourstagesofRegularOrgasm.
Thesefourstageshavesomeinterestingnames:

You can see that the amount (level) of arousal (sexual pleasure and
interest) increases with stimulation (time), climbs to a plateau, then
climaxes,andfinallydeclines(usuallyprettyquickly,especiallyinmen).
Intheexcitementphase,youseesignsofarousalstartingtohappen,like
increasingvaginallubricationthatswhenshestartsgettingwet!Thisis
when a man becomes hard(engorged).The pleasurecan build slowly at
first,andthenaccelerates.
In the plateau phase, you see changes in heart rate and respirationso
thatswhereallthebreathingintensifies.Thewomanbecomesengorged
(her vaginal lips and those deeper places become swollen with blood.
Some men start to leak clear somewhat sticky fluid at this point. In
Regular Orgasm, the arousal keeps building, reaching a point of

inevitabilityapointofnoreturn.
ThentherestheorgasmphasewhichisselfexplanatoryandIvealready
described the typical 8 to 10 second climax. Sometimes (especially if
theresbeenlotsofforeplayandtimetobuildarousal)thiskindofclimax
canseemtofillthewholebodywithmassiveandpleasurablerelease.
Andintheresolutionphaseyouhaverapidrelaxationandadropinblood
pressure, slowing breathing, and other signs of decreasing arousal. The
engorgement fades quickly (more quickly, usually formen). People differ
in their responses to this phasesome like to cuddle, some prefer quiet
timebythemselves,ortodriftintoareverieorsleep.

MultipleOrgasmsandExtendedOrgasms
In a Multiple Orgasm, the woman receives genital stimulation, has a

RegularOrgasm,mmmm,itfeelsreallygood,too!Then,shestartsdown
theothersideofthemountainbutnotalltheway,andthenshestarts
climbingupagain.Shecanthenexperienceanotherclimax,orpeak.Yum!
She will have two or more peaks and when she is done coming, shell
return all the way down the other side of the mountain (the resolution
phase). Some men can experience Multiple Orgasms, too, but usually
when theyre young n horny (though many men can learn Multiple
Orgasmwithpropertraining).

Now, in Extended Orgasm when a woman reaches the peak of the

experience, she stays there, having a prolonged orgasmic climax. She is

be some fluctuation in intensity and/or sensation... an Extended Orgasm

OK,ImReadytoLearnAboutExpandedOrgasm!
AnExpandedOrgasmwilloftenincludeone(ormore)oftheabovetypes
oforgasms,butithasbothprofoundanddeliciouscharacteristicsthatgo
farbeyond.
First, in these nonexpanded orgasms that I just described, the main

dimensionistime.
An Expanded Orgasm is an experience that happens in both time and

space. In Expanded Orgasm, you are expanding the pleasure you feel in
yourgenitalsintotheentirespaceofyourbody,throughyourmind,into
the dimension of your emotions, and into the expanding of your
awareness.
Thesemountingfeelingsofblissspilloutintoyourpartner,intothespace
aroundyou,andintoyourveryspirit.
InExpandedOrgasm,youhavethesenseofacupfillingup,andatthevery
same time, the cup is growing to the size of a coliseum with energy
currentsrunningfromheadtotoe.Itsasifyourverybodyhasenlarged
enormously, and all of it is filled to spillover with profound erotic
pleasure.

highermuch higher in fact than in Regular Orgasm. There are many
plateaus followed by more climbing. But as I said, Expanded Orgasm
happens not only in time, but also in space! The dotted wavy lines are
intendedtoillustratetheExpandedOrgasmexperienceofexpandingway
outinspace.InExpandedOrgasmyouhaveasenseofnotonlyfillingyour
bodywithgreatpleasure,butofmakingalargerbodytofill.
Idliketogiveyouasenseofwhatittakestocreatethesemindblowing
orgasms. As your partner stimulates youputs pleasurable attention on
youyou can spread the rising pleasure energy through your body. One
way to do this is to breathe it up and through your whole body, as you
relaxmoreandmoreintothefeeling.Icallthisfallingintoclimbing.Itsa
kindofsurrendertopleasure.

and then expands to the deepest reaches of the galaxy. In this state,
peoplereportmovingandprofoundexperiences.
SomethingElseIwantYoutoKnowAboutExpandedOrgasm
Lets begin by looking at the generally accepted definition of orgasm

developedbythepioneeringsexresearchersMastersandJohnson.
I call the Masters and Johnson's model The male model of orgasm,
because they patterned their definition of orgasm on the standard male
experience.

That experience is the climb, plateau, climax, and come down again
model. For years both men and women have been defining and judging
their orgasmic experiences by this standard. While this is a valid and
sometimesusefulmodeloforgasmitcanalsobeconstrainingifit'sthe
onlymodelyouhave.
Expanded Orgasms begin by making a choice a choice to start noticing

andapprovingofthefirstgoodsensationthatyoufeelinyourcrotch.You
then notice and approve of all the pleasurable sensations that follow.
When you do this, you relax; you open up the feeling channels in your
body,andstartadeliciousfeedbackcycle.Iencourageeveryonetoletgo
oftheirprejudicesthatsayorgasmhastobeorlookacertainway.Begin
expandingyourmindandbodyastohowitcanlookandfeelforyou
andyourpartner.
WhatIsTheCostofClingingtotheStandardDefinitionofOrgasm?
Whenawomansorgasmsarentdistinguishedproperly,andthereforenot
validated, she could be having profound orgasms, and just not
acknowledging them! Now, please dont get me wrong. I am not saying
sheisnotenjoyingtheseorgasms!But,Ihavehadmanywomen(andtheir
partners) come to me with this kind of needless orgasm performance
anxiety.What'sequallytroublingisthatbynotapprovingandvalidating
whatyouactuallyperceive(thoughunderthesurfaceofawareness),your
orgasmscannotstartgettingbetter.

Approving of the pleasurable sensation you feel in your body is the first
stepincreating,andhaving,mindblowingorgasms.
Since it's possible that you can have an Expanded Orgasm from the
momentyouaretouched,doesntitmakesensetoallowyourselftofeel
