TO CONTENTS

Introduction

1.1.1 ADMA-OPCO utilises the services of Third Party Inspection Agencies (TPA's)
for document review and inspection and test activities during procurement of
new equipment and materials.
1.1.2 The previous edition of this document (viz. Revision 1, 12-91) described
ADMA-OPCO's material certification, documentation and inspection and test
requirements. It also described DIN 50049 (now BS EN 10204) based
requirements for particular items and included inspection procedures for
specific items and equipment.
1.1.3 This edition restructures the document into various Parts and Appendices that
can be detached for particular material or equipment requirements and includes
updated information where appropriate.
1.1.4 New Forms have also been introduced which may be utilised to summarise the
QA requirements for each purchase order item (See Appendix-B) and to
identify certification requirements (See Appendix-C) applicable to items or
equipment not already covered in the various Parts of CP-102.
1.1.5 Inspection Procedures have been revised and now consist of a series of
Inspection Activity Lists in Part 4.
1.1.6 Certification requirements and inspection activity lists for drilling equipment
can be found in ADMA-OPCO Standards STD-122 to 125. These Standards
are listed as items 3.1.24 to 3.1.27 in Part 3 and Inspection Activity Lists 21 to
24 in Part 4.
1.1.7 CP-102 Parts, Inspection Activity Lists and Appendices may be issued
independent of the complete CP-102 document.
1.1.8 Where relevant, data collection for equipment (i.e. Works Identification
Number (WIN)/Unique Tracking Commodity (UTC) Inspection Data Sheets
and their attachments) shall be conducted in accordance with ADMA-OPCO
Specification SP-1017, Equipment Data Collection, which should be read in
conjunction with this document.

iv) Part 4 - Inspection Activity Lists

Inspection Activities conducted by Third Party Inspectors were described
in Sections A to R of Revision 1.
These have been revised to accommodate updated information and two
new columns viz. Certification Level and Document Submissions
Required have been added. A note regarding ADMA-OPCO Job Officer
agreement of Certification designation (3.1.C, 3.1.B, 2.1) for individual
parts of assemblies has also been added as well as additional
abbreviations. (See Part 4, Inspection Activity Lists - 01 to 24).

This consists of a list of ADMA-OPCO Codes and Standards listed in the
various IALs.

vi)

Appendix-B (Form QAD/04/152)

Appendix-B summarises requirements for the certification, inspection,
surveillance and documentation for equipment/materials being ordered
and identifies which Parts and Appendices of CP-102 are applicable.

vii)

Appendix-C (Form QAD/04/153)

Appendix-C gives the Job Officer the flexibility to raise certification
requirements for equipment/materials not already covered in CP-102
Parts 3 or 4.

viii)

Appendix-D (Form QAD/04/154)

Appendix-D may be utilised by the Job Officer to request, from QAD,

TO CONTENTS

E.2 ADMA-OPCO Job Officer Activities.

These are as described in Part 1 and Part 3, 3.4. They also include the transfer of
Inspection Certificates, reports and notes received from the TPA or Vendors to QAD
for verification.
E.3 Guidelines on the implementation of CP-102 Revision 2 with regard to CPR, MR
or PO attachments.
Guidance on how the ADMA-OPCO Job Officer implements the requirements of
CP-102 Revision 2 with regard to CPR, MR or PO attachments, is illustrated in Figure
E.3 and described below.
E.3.1 Equipment/Materials included in CP-102
When preparing a CPR, MR or PO the Job Officer should take the following
steps in connection with CP-102 Revision 2:
Step 1 - For Equipment/Material which has been designated Certification to
3.1.C, go to Step 2 then Step 9.
For Equipment/Material which has been designated Certification to
3.1.B., go to Step 3 then Step 9.
For Equipment/Material which has been designated Certification to
2.1, go to Step 4 then Step 9.
Step 2 - Since Equipment/Material designated Certification to 3.1.C will
require full involvement of the TPA in accordance with:
a.
b.
c.
d.

Parts 1 to 3;
The relevant Inspection Activity List in Part 4;
Appendix-A;
WIN/UTC Inspection Data Sheet where available (SP-1017, Data
Collection should be consulted), then,

i. Copy and Complete Appendix-B accordingly, and

ii. Compile the completed Appendix-B, the CP-102 Parts and
WIN/UTC Inspection Data Sheet referenced in Appendix-B, and

E.3 (Contd)
Step 3 - Since Equipment/Material designated Certification to 3.1.B will not
require TPA involvement but may require the completion of a
WIN/UTC Inspection Data Sheet then:
i. Copy and complete Appendix-B accordingly, and
ii. Compile the completed Appendix-B, the WIN/UTC Inspection
Data Sheet when available and CP-102 Part 2 (Certification
descriptions) and attach the compilation to the CPR/MR/PO.
Step 4 - Since Equipment/Material designated Certification to 2.1 will not
require TPA involvement or a WIN/UTC Inspection Data Sheet then:
i. Copy and complete Appendix-B accordingly, and
ii. Compile the completed Appendix-B and Part 2 (Certification
description) and attach the compilation to the CPR/MR/PO.
E.3.2 Equipment/Materials not included in CP-102
Step 5 - Consider the criticality of the Equipment/Material and allocate an
appropriate certification level (3.1.C/3.1.B/2.1) with the agreement of
QAD.
If 3.1.C has been designated, go to Step 6 then Step 9.
If 3.1.B has been designated, go to Step 7 then Step 9.
If 2.1 has been designated, go to Step 8 then Step 9.
Step 6 - For Equipment/Material which has been designated Certification
3.1.C but has no existing Inspection Activity List in Part 4, Prepare
Appendix-C and Appendix-D in liaison with QAD.
The Job Officer should obtain a new Inspection Activity List from
QAD using Appendix-D having furnished QAD with the
Specification and/or Scope of Work for the Equipment.
