The above Incoming/Buscoupler Breaker paneLs ( a, e & i ) shall be supplied
with Potential Transformers mounted on drawout VCB unit for measurement and
protection.
DETAILED SPECIFICATION AS UNDER:

Scope:
This specification is intended to cover the design, manufacture, assembly, testing at
manufacturer's works in presence of our representative and delivery to site of indoor
type H.T. Metal clad switchgears, complete with all accessories fitted and features
mentioned below:

Transformers which will indicate the parameters of Transformer winding and Oil.The
Mimic Panel shall have facility for accepting and resetting the faults.

2.4.0 Current Transformers:
2.4.1 All CTs shall be bar primary cast resin type and shall be provided with shorting
terminals, terminal identification marks and links.
2.4.2 Whenever differential CTs or relays are called for, these include all accessories like
interposing CTs, metrosils etc.
2.4.3 All CTs shall be capable of withstanding the specified fault levels for the specified
during as per the National Standards:
Metering C.T Class : Class 0.5 (1A)

2.4.4 CTs for Incomer Breaker : 300-150/1-1A, 15VA

2.4.7 Dimensional drawings of PTs and CTs shall be supplied for further procurement.
2.4.8 One set of CTs, PTs shall be supplied along with one set of panels.
2.5.0 Potential Transformers as per the IS: 3156:
2.5.1 P.Ts shall be rugged, drawout type and shall be cast resin design.
2.5.2 H.V.side P.T.shall be protected by current limiting fuses.

Relays:
All relays shall be draw-out type, flush mounted, hand reset type flag indicator for all
protective relays.

2.6.2 All inverse time O/C relay shall be selected and relay shall have 50/50N,
51/51N.IDMT & Inst.relay with 3 Phase O/C + E/F + HIGH SET shall be supplied
with selectable time characterstics of NI, VI, EI or definite time and suitable lockout
relay shall be provided for all Incoming & Outgoing Breakers.

All Main protective relays shall be supplied with INSITU testing facilities.
Meters:
All indicating instruments shall be flush type.
Size: 144mm x 144mm for Voltmeter & Ammeter with selector switches. All
incomers and out going panels shall have voltmeters and Ammeters.

2.7.3 Intelligent electronic Load manager Rishab Integra 1540 or equivalent with LED
indication which can indicate two or three parameters at a time including the
parameters for all three phases like voltages, currents, power factor, active and
reactive energy, demand on selection with accuracy - Class 1shall be provided. Shall
have RS 485 MODBUS RTU Protocol for communication and shall be provided in
all Incoming & Outgoing Breakers.
2.7.4 Incoming Panels shall be provided with independent KWh (load manager), PF,Hz,V
& A meters. Outgoing panels shall be provided with KWh (Load manager ) ,
KW,V,PF, and A meters.
2.7.5 Siutable contactor shall be provided to select any one of Incomers PT supply for
working of Energy meters & Voltmeters in Outgoing panels.
2.8.0 Indicating lamps:
2.8.1 All indication lamps shall be of LED TYPE.

2.9.0 Wiring & terminal blocks:


2.9.1 Flexible FRLS PVC insulated multi strand copper conductor of size 2.5 Sq.mm shall
be used.
2.9.2 Interlocking type plastic ferrules at each end to be provided.
2.9.3 All wire terminations shall be made with ring type crimping lugs.
2.9.4

All spare contacts of relays, switches, contactors shall be wired to the terminal block.
2.9.5 20% spare terminals shall be provided.
2.9.6 Control cable Terminal block shall be unbreakable, 10A rated and shall be suitable for
terminating 2 Nos. of 2.5 Sq.mm cables.Cable shall be FRLS for all control wiring.
2.9.7 All power and control cable terminations shall be provided with shrouds to avoid
accidental contact.
2.10.0 Cable terminations:
2.10.1 Double compression nickel plated brass cable glands of heavy duty type for 3X3CX
95Sq.mm AL FRLS XLPE cables in Incoming panels and 2X3CX 95Sq.mm AL
FRLS XLPE Cables in Outgoing panels and Gland plate thickness shall be 4mm
2.10.4 Additional dummy plates shall be provided whereever required to facilitate
termination of specified No.of cables.
All Control fuses shall be link type HRC fuses.
2.12.0 Name plates: The following shall be provided
2.12.1 Main Name Plate Designating SW Board at the top of the central panel.Letter height 50 mm.
2.12.2 Separate name plate giving feeder details both on front and back of each panel.Letter
Height - 15 mm
2.12.3 Name plates for all instruments, PTs, CTs, relays switches etc.mounted on the face
and inside the cubicle.
2.12.4 Name plate shall be of Al/Unbreakable plastic sheets of 3 mm thick and shall be fixed
by screws.
2.13.0 Ground Bus:
2.13.1 The Ground bus through out the SW Board shall be 50x12 mm copper or equivalent
Aluminium and suitable provision shall be made at the ends for connecting to plant
earth system.
2.13.2 Earth bus shall be brought back to cable compartment and earthing bolt shall be
provided to ground cable armours. A separate earth bus shall be run for Surge
Arrestors. Body earthing and earthing for SA/LA has to be run separately.The
earthing at Transformer is solid earthing.
2.14.0 Auxiliary Power:
2.14.1

DC Auxiliary power bus shall be provided with MCB and fuse control in each panel.

2.14.2 DC Auxilary power supply for relays, closing and opening coil - 30 V DC.
2.14.3 Spring charging motor shall work on 230V, 1 Phase, 50 Hz, A.C. supply, Fuse and
thermal protection shall be provided in the panel.
2.15.0 Painting:
2.15.1 External paint - Powder coated based Final finished thickness of paint Min 100 to 150
Microns. Light grey, Shade 631 of IS-5.
2.15.2 Two litres of touch up paint to be supplied with Switch Board.
2.15.3 Internal paint - Glossy White.
2.16.0 Accessores: The following accessories shall be quoted with the price bid

Removable manual closing lever for breakers.


Test cabinet with cables for testing the breaker in withdraw position.
Handles/Carriage for withdrawing the breaker.
Any other special tools & tackles required for maintenance.
One set of panel end gaskets along with each panel for interconnection of the panels at
various sub-stations.
Tests : All routine tests as per IS:3427/IS: 13118: 1991 in presence of purchaser's
representative.
Also the following tests shall be conducted at manufacturers works on complete
equipment:

Total physical check-up
Continuity check-up
Functional Tests by charging the equipment as per relevant standards
High voltage test.

3.0.0 APPLICATION STANDARDS:

4.0.0 CIRCUIT BREAKER REQUIREMENTS :
4.1.0 Vacuum Circuit Breaker
4.1.1 Vacuum breaker shall have completely sealed interrupting units for interruption of arc
inside the Vacuum. The breakers shall be provided with contact wear indicator visible
from the front of the cubicle door, allowing the operator to assess the conditions of the
interrupters while the unit is in service. It shall be possible to isolate easily the
vacuum interrupter unit from the breaker operating mechanism for mechanical testing
of the interrupter to check losss of vacuum.

4.1.2 The vacuum breaker unit/panel unit shall be complete with surge arrestors to provide
protection to the equipment, controlled by the breaker against switching surges. The
polymeric surge arrestors shall be provided for better performance.
