Town Board Moments
1. Citizen Concerns a.
Mrs. LaForty, one of the
contractors mowing the
Town Cemeteries had
questions concerning the
ownership and operations of
the Spragueville Cemetery.
A brief discussion followed.
B. The Oxbow Fire Dept.
has received a grant of
$22,000.00 to buy new
hoses. A request was made
for the Town to help the Fire
Dept. dig up and repair a dry
hydrant located at their
station at Oxbow. Mr. Hall
will check this out and see
what has to be done and get
back to Mr. Diagostino.
2. Correspondences: a. A
letter received from the
Oswegachie Blue Way Trail
project. There will be several
meetings coming up for
interested persons to attend
for more information on this
study. All board members
were given a copy of the
papers.
3. Mr. Shaw addressed the
board about contributing
more funds to the Summer
Youth recreation program.
The Clerk explained that
they could use more funds
because of the increase in
number of children attending
the program. The children
are coming from within the
Village and the Township.

1. Citizen Concerns- a.
Resident heard that
Village wide sales in on
Old Home Day. Village
Wide Sale on August 7-9th
2. DPW REPORT: Not
present. They are busy
with day to day duties.
3. SEWER PROJECT:
Mayor Golden stated we
still have a few unresolved
issues at the sewer plant
that the engineers are
investigating.
4. A motion was made and
carried to contribute $1000
to the Old Home Day
Committee for their annual
event.
5. Tr. Altmann resolved
that no modifications
would be made to the
waste water treatment
plant without DEC
approval, Tr. Cole 2nd and
a roll call vote was held
with all parties present
voting aye.
6. Tr. Cole stated he
would like the Village to
look into moving the
driveway to the boat
launch as it is on his
property. Mayor Golden
will talk to the County
about moving the
guardrails for the bridge.

Saturday August 1st,
the First
Congregational
Church will be having
their Lawn Social at
2:00 PM - ? on the
church lawn.
Hamburgers, hot
dogs, Sweet
sausages, macaroni
salad, ice cream and
drinks. Raffling off a
painting by Ramona
Jarvis and a few
other items.

Church News -

Whats up in
Antwerp?
Crosby Public Library Our annual book sale
has begun and will
continue through
Saturday, August 15th.
On Saturday, August 1,
they plan to have a local
author, Scott Keen, visit
our library for a book
signing from 11AM until
1:00PM. Scotts book,
entitled Scar of Downers,
is geared toward middle
grade students and
young adults. He will
have copies with him for
sale - $15.00 each.
They will also be having
a bake sale and book
sale to raise money for
their construction fund on
that day.
On Monday, August 3,
2015, they plan to have
their annual "Zoo Visits the
Library at 2PM.
Immediately afterward, they
will award prizes to those
children who participated in
the Summer Reading
Challenge. Don't forget to
bring a list of the books you
have read this summer!
On Wednesday, August 19
at 4:00PM, they are hosting
a Google Docs 2.0 class,
taught by Ms. Jamie Peck.
This class is designed to
teach participants how to
do more with Google Drive
apps. They will be
discussing not only Google
Docs, but will also look at
Google Sheets, Google
Slides and Google Forms.
Participants should have
Google account or Gmail
account.
