The purpose of this application is to help the
A+PR creative faculty see how your mind
works and help you evaluate your potential
for success as an aspiring art director or
copywriter (a creative specialist).
Beginning in Fall 2015, a new slate of
courses will be offered, including Concepting, Portfolio I, Portfolio II and dedicated
seminars for art directors and copywriters.
These new courses will be challenging and
require a great deal of hard work and
commitment. Heres the goal: we want to
graduate top talent armed with highly
competitive portfolios full of strategically
smart and innovative work. We want to
send out young art directors and copywriters known for their strong thinking ability.
And thats what well be looking for in your
answer to the simple question above.
INSTRUCTIONS
Provide your answer to the question on a
single 11x17 sheet of paper (like this
one). Offer us a smart, wonderful, interesting, remarkable, compelling answer using
visuals and/or words (observe a 100-word
limit, please). NOTE: We are NOT asking
you for an ad (dont make one) and this is
NOT an arts and crafts project (no glitter,
puff paint, no 3D dioramas) although we
encourage those with artistic ability to
show it off. The key here is the strength of
the idea that lives in your answer, so
please spend more time thinking than
cutting or pasting or sketching. Please
do NOT use a computer. Make sure that
your answer is original and wont be
someone elses, too. We want to see how
YOU think, so dont base your answer on
someone elses literary quote, a famous
painting or any world religion. Make your
own statement.
