5. Descent Below FL285 or Climb Above FL410
(if necessary)

ANY RNP FAILURE / DEGRADATION:CONTIGENCY PROCEDURES IN RNP 10
This could occur in cases of inability to maintain assigned
FL due to weather, aircraft performance, pressurization
failure, etc.
a. BEFORE RNP AIRSPACE
1. Inform ATC.
2. Obtain new clearance.
3. Land at the nearest suitable airport.
b. WITHIN RNP AIRSPACE
1. Obtain revised ATC Clearance if unable, broadcast
position, FL and intentions on 121.5 MHz
(123.45 MHz as back-up)
2. Turn 90 off track
3. Acquire parallel track
4. Change altitude (according to local regulation)
WHEN NO ATC CONTACT
1. Deviate away from organized track or route system
2. Broadcast deviation on 121.5 MHz and 123.45 MHz
3. Watch for conflicting traffic visually.
4. Use all exterior lights
5. When 10 NM off track, Initiate level change based
on contingency procedure.
