    VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio) is a measure of how well a load is matched to a transmission line like a coaxial cable. It is the ratio of the maximum voltage to the minimum voltage along a standing wave in the transmission line. A high VSWR means there is a mismatch between the load impedance and the characteristic impedance of the transmission line, resulting in reflected power. Tilting an antenna mechanically or electrically can help improve signal levels and reduce interference between cells by adjusting the coverage pattern. Both mechanical and electrical tilting should be used together, starting with mechanical tilting to reduce signal congestion or increase user speeds before using electrical tilting which can also reduce indoor coverage.
