PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The American Express is the bank in USA, The main objective of the American
express bank is to save the interest to the bank i.e. managing the money within the
bank.

Responsibilities:

• Performed OCR & CSS files backup and Administrated RAC database using
SRVCTL

• Backup and recovery strategy for RAC databases using RMAN.

• Observing the space management by looking the periodical sizes of the data
files and also marking the data files having number of extents.

• Creating the Environments for testing purpose.

Uptime.

Project # 2: Fund Transfer Voucher (FTV)

Client: Efftronics Solutions (P) Ltd


Duration: Jan 2007 – Aug 2008
Role: Junior DBA
Environment: Oracle 9i, Windows NT server/Linux
Description : FTV (Fund Transfer Voucher) system is one of the modes for the
customer for paying out there cards outstanding. FTV capture all the details of card
holders along with the bank and branch details in which customer have an account.
FTV also captures the mode of payment i.e., total, fixed, min-due or percentage of
the total billed amount. Every month after the billing is done the BAR/FTV is sending
the branches.

Responsibilities:
• Monitoring alert log for errors.
• Loading data to oracle from different sources using SQL * Loader and
Export/Import.
• Performing recoveries like datafile, tablespace, point-in-time etc.
• Creating and managing database users, Privileges & Roles.

• Configuring changes in oracle networking.


• Monitoring space availability.

Description : Recent Record Functioning System (RRFS), it is a validation process
for issuing a private label card. Albertsons is a one of the biggest retail store in USA.
This application system processes and evaluates information on potential credit card
customers including their credit information.

Responsibilities:
• Creation and Maintenance of Oracle Databases as per the requirement.
• Creating Primary Database storage strures and objects.
• Managing the physical & logical objects of the Database
• Enrolling new users and maintaining system security, Roles and System
Privileges.
• Creating Profiles and setting Passwords.
• Check Alert Log errors and make necessary actions to rectify them.
• Taking cold Backups.
• Export / Import of Tables, Tablespaces and Databases.

• Monitor physical and logical backup.
