6,3 Methods of Sampling-Samples for determination of
chemicalcompositionshallbe taken in accordance
with one
of the followingmethods:
6.3.1 Samplesfor chemicalanalysisshall be taken from
thematerialby drilling, sawing,milling, tuming, or clipping
a representativepiece or pieces10 obtain a weieht of

9.1 Limits:
9.1.1 The tensile strengthof the respectivetempers of
slockshallconformto the requirementsspecifiedin Table l.
All tensiletestresultsshall be reported.
9.1.2 The iensilestrengthofjoints made in the finished
stock shall be not lessthan 8500 psi (59 Mpa) for t350-O
and not lessthan I I 000 psi (?6 Mpa) for the other temDers.
9.2 Numberof Specimens-Onespecimenshall be tiken
from each5000Jb(2300-kg)coil.
9.2.1 Teststo demonstrateconformancewith 9.1.2 are
not requiredunlessagreedupon at time of orderine.The
numberof specimens
shallbe as negotiated
(see5.2).
9.3 Typeol Spedmens-Tensiontest specimensshall be
the full sectionofthe stock,or specinensmachinedfrom it.
Machinedspecimens
shallconformto Fig. 8 ofTest Methods
B 557.In caseofdispute,tensiontestspecimensshallbe full
sectlon.
9.4 Test Method-Tension tests shall be made in accor.
