Im going to speak like a robot. I want you to listen carefully and tell me the
word Im trying to say. Lets practise. The word is c-a-t. What is the robot
trying to say?

Explain that a friendly alien has come to earth with a shopping list of words and items he needs to take back
with him. Some of these are real words and some are not. Can you help him read them?
Ask child to say the sound for each letter and then to blend them to make a word.
Record the sounds given by the child and if they are able to blend and read the whole word.
