Sewa Sangam

Rashtriya Sewa Bharati was founded in 2003 as an Umbrella Organization for Voluntary Organisations (NGOs),
which are affiliated to it.
As a step forward to give the affiliates a national platform,Rashtriya Sewa Sangam, a national conference was
held in Bangalore in 2010 where 980 delegates participated representing 428 affiliated as well as non affiliated
organizations.
The atmosphere in the Sangam enthused the karyakartas of these organizations to hold Sewa Sangams at
Prant level to mobilize the affiliations as well as to have better co-ordination amongst themselves.
An attempt has been made here to showcase a glimpse of Rashtriya Sewa Sangam as well as the Prant Sewa
Sangams held in various Prants.
Each Sangam is unique one according to its regional identity, but the goal is one, to derive inspiration from each
other to improve the quality of service to the society.

Exhibition as viewed by the Visitors

Thousands of ways for Service. Let at least one of them become our Lifes Goal.
The exhibition kindles the feeling Little for Self and Everything else to Society in us. Self-confidence has been created in our minds that even a common/ ordinary man can do extra-ordinary things.
This exhibition has highlighted the true incidents in the Society. It inspires us to get ourselves involved in Social Service activities. Through this it encourages us to be a catalyst in transforming the society.
There is lot of things to be done. What is being done are efforts of fulfillment. Starting is victory. Todays programme is inducement for future days.
All the Sewa activities seen here are touching the mind & heart. Of these, service to the orphan children, yoga, learning descriptions, study through games, etc. are closer to heart. Tears filled our eyes when we saw and think of
the life style of the people living in the slums (Sewa Bastis) in Bengaluru. Having seen organic farming, Self Help Groups for women, etc. we felt that we should render service to the society and derive self-satisfaction.
Having viewed the Sewa Darshan, we get inspired to get ourselves involved in the service activities. It has shown direction to me for getting into the service.
Pictures displayed are not mere photos, but are heart rendering depictions of real life. When selfishness is the order of the day and prevailing all around, the exhibitions of the sewa activities has brought in enthusiasm in me to
undertake some sewa activities.

Sewa Sangam at a Glance

Karnatak (South) & Karnatak ( North)

If there is determination to achieve, goal in mind, we will be backed by a mentor/ teacher. This is a place for showing direction and adds encouragement.
In the name of service the character of sacrifice is most essential. If everyone has this service mind it is good for the nation and to ourselves. When we view the pictures of Sewa activities the aim of RSS is touching the heart of
all. Someone who do not know about RSS, if they view this exhibition will understand the marvelous service face of the Sangha.
All service activities under the banner Sewa Bharati and Hindu Seva Pratishthana are all really activities undertaken by you all, I am getting a feeling of trust/ belief that we are moving fast towards our future goal of building
a glorious Bharat.
After seeing the organic farming and self help groups of women, etc. I also felt that I should do something. I felt that we should do service for self-satisfaction.
Of all these the programme of protecting, nurturing, fostering and also guiding the rag pickers and handicapped children to take them to main-stream is a work that deserve more appreciation.
There were very important points covered on our family, environment, etc. in the programme. The service activities that are being carried out and which are going to be attempted and achievements so far, have all given us a new
inspiration. I felt that the nation requires this organisation.
For all the good work in the society, Im convinced that there will be a positive, dynamic and responsive face. We, along with others, will definitely respond to this. I felt that the self-less service is nothing but worshipping God.
The exhibition has come out very well. This is a lesson for all in the society. The transformation in the society is possible from this.
Our responsibility to contribute and our duties to human values has increased on account of viewing this exhibition. The service rendered by Sewa Bharati is invaluable.
