My engineering responsibilities & activities include:

Onshore Activities:
Studying all the documents related to platform as per the survey
reports, other documents and analyzing the scope of work on each
platform. .
Calibration of instruments and certifying the same from TPI & CA.
Platform wise packing of all instruments as per the MTO.
Study and Segregation of all documents such as PIDs, Datasheets
of instruments ,MIR, Onshore calibration reports, hookups, Safe
charts ,Instrument and JB location layout, Fire and Gas layout,
Cable and cable tray layout .
Fabrication support which is required in offshore.

Offshore Activities:

Survey of platform as per the drawings.

Calibration of instruments and certification of same from TPI and
CA.
Supervising of Fabrication of instrument support and cable tray
support as per site conditions.
Installation of instruments as per hook up drawings.
Supervising Cable laying , cable glanding of appropriate size,
termination and cross ferruling of cable in RTU or control room
and in Junction boxes, assistance to vendor for commissioning
activities.
Impulse, Signal and Air Tubing as per the hook ups.
Leak test and hydro test of signal and impulse tubing respectively.
Close loop checking.
Pre commissioning of Shut down Panel.
Preparation of as built Drawings if needed.
Pre commissioning of Flare system.

Detailed Engineering
Preparation of detailed PI diagram indicating tag numbers of each instrumentation
equipment, DCS tags, alarm tags various interlocks etc.
Preparation of specification, data sheets and bill of material for all instrumentation
equipment and accessories.
Preparation of specification of moisture in gas analyzer.
Preparation of cable schedule.
Preparation of installation drawings for all field mounted instruments.
Preparation of hook-up drawings, loop schematic and logic diagrams.
F & G layout drawings, fusible plug layout drawings
Calculating control valve sizes based on flow data received from technological
section/client and Forwarding the finalized sizes to the respective suppliers for
fabrication/manufacture.
Preparation of layout drawing showing location of all field instruments, junction boxes,
cable routes from Instruments to control room etc.
Preparation of I/O list, I/O mapping, annunciation and interlock scheme etc. and
forwarding the same to the DCS supplier to enable them to develop relevant software and
prepare detailed drawings.
Approval of suppliers drawings.
Issue of manufacturing clearance based on approved drawings.
Inspection and issue of dispatch clearance.
Follow-up for actual dispatch and receipt of consignment at site.
Field Services
Supervision of erection, testing, calibration and loop checking.
Erection, Pre-commissioning & Commissioning Activities, Supervision for Installation
of FTA cards, relay cards and wiring in online existing DCS/ESD system, Hook up of
new I/Os in existing DCS (Honeywell Experion PKS) and ESD/PLC system (Honeywell
Fail safe control system),Logic preparation and testing of ESD/PLC system at offshore
location.
Modification of existing MCC Panel as per new load requirement and hook up with the
DCS/ESD system for auto start/stop.
Conducting Preliminary Acceptance Test.

 Post commissioning services including routine maintenance of instruments, repair of

faults etc.
Participation in overall Performance Guarantee Test.
Preparation of "As-built" drawings (incorporation of various changes/ modifications in
wiring and configuration of the measurement and control system done at site to suit
process requirement).
Operation of plant after commissioning till handed over to client.
