Job description

Title of Job : Waiter/Waitress


Job summery : Provide friendly, fine table service in co-ordination with Supervisor.
Reporting Relationship : Report to Supervisor.

Responsibilities :

Greet and assist in seating guests at the station.


Unfold napkin and present menu.
Suggest aperitif / drinks to guests.
Write out order for drinks.
Serve drinks to guests.
Taking food order.
Accept captain's order and deliver to the kitchen.
See the tables set-up is correct
See the linens are cleaned and enough to service the guests.
See that salt and prepare shakers are cleaned and filled.
See that menus & stations are clean and complete.
Obtains prepare Food from kitchen and serves to guests.
Remove soiled dishes and flatware.
See that table & chairs are properly arranged.
Study the menu, drinks list, wine list to gain understanding of the food & drinks. Ask Supervisor about item,
which you are not familiar.
Carry out the services at the table.
Carrying cakes, flowers ...etc. to guests' table who are celebrating birthday, anniversary...etc.
Prepare checks to guests upon request.
May be assigned at times, other duties by Supervisor.
Knowledge of hotel facilities - Name of all F&B outlets
- Operation hours.
- Activities in the hotel, promotion...etc
Responsible for the cleanliness, set-ups before the Restaurant open.
Responsible for the smooth and quick service to all guests at Supervisor assigned station.

Job summery : Greet, receive and welcome guests to the restaurant.
Reporting Relationship : Report to Supervisor.
Responsibilities :
Keeps reservation book.
Answer telephone by telephone manner and phonetics alphabet.
Meets guests with a smile and greeting and escorts and seating guests at their table.
Unfold napkin & present menu.
Greet and assists in seating guest at the station.
Takes care all of flower decorations in dining room and entrance area.
Checks on cleanliness and orderly appearance of entrance area including door and windows.
Reports to Supervisor on reservations with special parties and V.I.P
Reconfirmed all the reservation had taken.
Assist in preparation work of the restaurant.
Assist in actual when restaurant is busy.
May be assigned special tasks by Supervisor.
Keep a record and register of regular guests.

Job summery : Responsible for co-ordination and smooth operation of restaurant.
Reporting Relationship : Report to Asst. Manager./ Manager
Responsibilities :
Report for work on time
Responsible for all staff in outlet
Maintain service to high standard.
Trains all staff to ensure high quality of standard.
Prepare weekly roster.
Responsible for the control of staff's behaviour and punctuality.
Solves all problems happening in the area.
Reports daily sales, and problem or complaints to Manager in logbook.
Ensure that all equipment used is always in good condition and clean.
To check that proper billing system is done in order to prevent dishonesty.
Conduction daily briefing to all staff before service.
Responsible for conduct with the guests when Manager not on duty.
Maintain good working relationship with Executive Chef to avoid friction between kitchen and
service staff.
Consults daily with Executive Chef on specials, promotions,...etc
Outstanding knowledge of the waiter's job
Responsible for the smooth and quick service to all guests

Responsible to refill glasses, cutlery and to ensure and attentive yet discreet service.
Suggest liqueur after dinner to the guests.
