MESDAN AQUA Splicer 4923A
Mesdan aqua splicer 4923A is used to splice plied, gassed, mercerised, high twisted
cotton & elastic cotton yarn. The new aqua splicer 4923 A is endowed with a series
of new solutions which help to increase the yarn ends overlap, reduces the
maintenance, provide better control over tail withdrawal & length, improved water
dozing, etc. This is an efficient & original ends preparation system following by a
splicing blast where water & air are combined in pre-determined proportions
produces very strong & imperceptible joints on hygroscope yarns such as linen or
cotton. Utilising a common water supply, the joining area of the device is completely
sealed from other parts of the unit, ensuring cleanliness & reducing maintenance to
an absolute minimum. After the introduction of the yarn ends, the pressure of a
trigger by the operator activates the Actuator (Code 390), which automatically
performs the entire cycle, producing the optimum results without any particular
operator skill combined with the A.T.S. system, Aquasplicer 4923A can be attached
to traditional winding & twisting machines with specific fitting catering for vertical
movement when applied to warping creels for top to tail transfer.

Joining capacity of the Aquasplicer 4923A covers a range from Ne 30 to Ne 90

Mesdan Aqua Splicer 928/B

The aqua splicer 928 B is designed to join Linen or cotton in a range of counts from
Ne 5 to Ne 60, By applying appropriate mingling chambers in accordance with
particular yarn characteristics, such as degree of twist rate, direction of twist, length
of staple end type of fibre.
The coarsest count is only indicative & is affected by the stiffness of the yarn.
Current list of chambers with indication of application is given below.

Mingling chamber is the jointair / aquasplicer component fitted into the water
enclosure where the fibres of opposing yarn ends are mingled together by a
controlled jet of compressed air. The chamber enclosure surrounding the mingling
chamber embodies an exclusive water discharge system which prevents surplus
water from the junction affecting other areas of the splicer.

Sequence of operations.
Introduction :The yarn should be positioned at the base of the introduction guide slots & outside
the mingling chamber
Crossing Cutting :The crossers place the yarn between the chamber enclosure & its cover, being held
in place by the clamping levers points. The scissors will then cut the surplus ends.
Ends Retraction:The ends are retracted through the chamber enclosure & mingling chamber under
the control of index point.
Junction :With the chamber cover completely closed the combined blast of compressed air &
water affects the junction of the yarns in the mingling chamber. Opening of the
chamber cover, ejection of the completed splice & return of the mechanism to the
neutral position, determines the end of the cycle.
The actuator is code 390 is a pneumatic device which facilitates the use of automatic
jointairs on A.T.S.
The actuator is connected to the jointair and is powered by compressed air from the
main supply system. By simply pressing a button on the actuator, it will command
the jointair to complete a 360 degree rotation cycle in a present line.
