Taberna, Lobrin and Luna inspire GJCians

Anthony Taberna, Michael Angelo Lobrin and Lloyd Luna inspire BSA, BSAcT
and BSBA students as they attended their 1 st Business Congress with a theme
Awakening the Entrepreneurial Mindset last August 23 held at GJC Gymnasium.
Taberna started his talk by reminiscing about his humble beginnings as an
alumnus of GJC. He then shared with the students how he started his own business.
Lobrin motivate the students while making them laugh with his punch lines.
He also gave the students some decision making tips not only in business but also
about everyday life.
The last speaker, who is Luna, also taught many life lessons and delivered his
motivational quotes and speeches to the students.
Students went home not only equipped with the lessons they got from the
three speakers but also with a book given by Luna. And some lucky participants
were also drawn in the raffle and claimed different prizes.

Politicians slash (/) Entrepreneurs

$329.5 million NBE-ZTE Deal, 105 million Helicopter Deal, 7.8 million Flag
pole in Luneta, 400 million over-priced rice importation, 50 billion Pork Barrel
Scam and now the allegedly overrated Makati City Parking Building.
Fairly true or fairly allegations only, these issues present a red flag that
Philippine politics nowadays symbolizes a great business opportunities to those who
are in power.
Every year, Filipinos are being flooded, beside from water caused by poor
drainage systems, with news that there is another overpriced government projects
aside from those still in the process of investigation for so many years. From the
first government established until now, no administration has an excuse that no,
my administration is clean and no one from my officials ever, as in ever, benefitted
for being a government official and there is no such issues that happened during my
term.
Dishonesty or Corruption in the government is irremovable even in the richest
country; there were issues about fraud and scams in their government but how
come they still manage to prevent billions of money from spilling out of their funds?
Then the answer lies upon to those persons who are in their government.
Kung bobo ang gobyerno, mas bobo ang bumoto, a right quotation for what
is happening in our election nowadays. If we think that all the government officials
are corrupt, think twice, it also means that you are corrupt too.
It was always a topic every election that there were so-called vote-buying
that is happening. If thats the case, from the first place, people also accepted the
said system in the government. If people permit an official to enter in the
government in that way, then people should not hope that the government will not
become a business; for, that official already paid the voters.
The success of the government as well as the country does not much rely in
the government system; it is in the peoples attitude to fight against corruption. If
we will only parade our placards in the street while burning someones effigy, it will
not be a major solution, we will only add to the problem of traffic and pollution of
our country.
We must not only be vigilant to what our officials are doing but also be willing
to take actions and be ready to give up our lives not for our own and familys sake
but for our countrys for whoever cares for their own country also cares for
themselves and their family.
And If we will not permit their business to succeed inside the government,
then we will gain the last laugh that should really be ours.
