A Project Report on

To analyze essentials of Decision Making with regards to


Organizational Development

A. Background of Study:
1. Importance of the study:
To know managerial functions in Decision Making Process.
To know Pervasiveness of decision making.
To study Evaluation of managerial performance with regards to
decision making.
To know Selection of the best alternatives with help of decision
making.
2. Need for the study:
To help for problem solving approach.
To know about developmental strategies with regards to decision
making.

B. Research Question:
1. Identify the study factor:
Business environment
Employee engagement
Internal and external relationship

2. Framing suitable research questions:


These questions will be on the basis of business environment and
decision making approach with regards to organizational development.
3. This project will be containing the research approach and analysis of
research orientation.
C. Research Objectives:
1. This Project Report is made to understand the concept, study factors
and issues related to it by designing samples.
2. Objectives:
To cover different aspects of decision making in organizational
development.
To study the various methodologies used by companies for
organizational development.
To ascertain whether the concern decision making process are
favorable or not.
To understand relationship between decision making and
organizational development.
To identify related issues of decision making in modern business.

D. Key Issues:
This Project Report will be consisting the reference questions and its
related issues regarding decision making approaches in an organization.
And also modern market environment of decision making strategies.

E. Scope of Study:
1. Variables like environmental issues of business organization,
employee satisfaction, government policies, technological changes,
competitors analysis, working environment and business policies are
the key factors which have been taken into consideration. The objectives
of this project also have fundamental analysis of decision making in an
organization.
2. To know the essentials of decision making by setting hypothesis and
appropriate research orientation, methodologies. Null hypothesis and
some alternative hypothesis will be based on the survey and
questionnaire.

F. Research Methodology:
1. Type of Research:
A research design is simply a plan for study in collection and analyzing
the data. It helps the researcher to conduct the study and ensure that
economical procedures are employed and probing is relevant to the
problem. Depending upon the objective of the study there is threeresearch design available:

Basic Research
Applied Research
Quantitative Research
Qualitative Research

2. Sampling area:

Sampling area will be consisting of marketing, human resource and


finance department of an organization.
3. Population:
Target Population- Business Organization, Employees.
Accessible Population- Special cases of business organization.
4. Sample size:
Sample size will be consisting between ranges of 45-50.
5. Sample Design:
Sample population with help in survey and its effects on other important
aspects of a survey as well. In a broad context, survey obtaining some
type of information through a survey for some population, or universe,
of interest. Sampling frame represents the population of interest, from
which a sample is to be drawn.
6. Primary Data Collection:
Primary Data are those data which are collected to solve a problem or
take advantage of any opportunity on which a decision is depending.
These data are basically observe and recorded by the researcher for the
first time used primary data for project work.
This primary collection will be taking with the help of questionnaires
regarding essentials of decision making with respect of organizational
development.
7. Secondary Data Collection:
The secondary date regarding this Project Report will be gathering from
Published and unpublished data, books, journals, Research papers,
people, magazine, etc which will help to gather the relevant information.

8. Research Instrument:
1. For making this research researcher is going to use Close Ended
Questions for the Project Report.
2. Five Point Likert Scale will be using for making decisions.
The format of a typical five-level Likert item, for example, could be:

Strongly disagree
Disagree
Neither agree nor disagree
Agree
Strongly agree

3. Statistical Analytical Tool:


For this Project Report researcher will use Descriptive Analysis tool.
G. Period of Study:
This Project Report will be consisting the period of 6 month approx.

H. Limitations of Study:
The time was very limited as for requirement of study.
Taking Sample has carried out the study. Therefore, all the
limitations associated with sampling.
Sometimes the respondent does not want to disclose some relevant
information.
The information provided by the respondent may not be authentic.
The sample size is restricted.
