Denver yoga calendar, week of January 19, 2015 - Denver

Yoga
From mindfulness practices and therapeutic yoga to inversions and arm balancing, there's
something for everyone on this week's Denver yoga calendar.
Monday, January 19: prAna offers free classes at the Cherry Creek North store, including a
Meditative Flow with Carl this evening. There's also an Align & Flow Class with Noemi tomorrow
evening, and a Vinyasa Flow class with Erin on Sunday morning.
Tuesday, January 20: Im'Unique United continues their Illustrating Union Yoga tour at the Denver
Zoo this evening. Arrive early for this free class.
Join Annette Sloan for Yoga, Food, and Love: A Compassionate Journey to Healing your Relationship
with Food, beginning tonight at Harmony Yoga. Learn yoga and mindfulness techniques during this
3-week series to reclaim the joy of eating while listening to what your body really needs.
Shambala Senior Teacher Janet Solyntjes, MA presents Mindfulness-Based Stress ReductionRelaxing in the Moment beginning tonight at Denver Botanic Gardens. Cultivate mindfulness to
enhance well-being during this 8-week series with a one-day silent retreat.
Thursday, January 22: Buy your groceries today at the Glendale Whole Foods Market and 5% of the
proceeds will go to Yoga for the People, a local nonprofit that brings yoga to underserved
populations in the Denver Metro Area.
The Infinite Monkey Theorem Urban Winery hosts a Yoga + Wine Event this and every Thursday
night. Bring your yoga mat for the hour long vinyasa class. Stay after to enjoy the glass of wine
included in your ticket price.
Friday, January 23: If you're dealing with scoliosis or you're a yoga teacher wanting to help students
with scoliosis, check out Elise Miller's Yoga for Scoliosis weekend workshop at the Iyengar Yoga
Center of Denver. The workshop begins tonight with a review of the anatomy, causes and patterns of
scoliosis. Elise teaches a morning and afternoon asana practice for scoliosis tomorrow, and ends
with an intermediate asana practice on Sunday morning.
Friday Night Yoga Club Denver continues at The Freyja Project, with yoga led by Torrey Newman
and music from A Colorado Symphony Trio. This is a "premier evening" with wine served after the
yoga practice.
Saturday, January 24: Immerse yourself in meditation, asana and discussion in the context of
Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. Join Jeremy Wolf for Awaken Inside: Philosophy and Meditation Weekend
today and tomorrow at Kindness Yoga Hilltop.
Awaken the Warrior Within this morning at Kundalini Yoga Denver. Kundalini Yoga teacher,
musician and Sat Nam Rasayan practitioner Hukum Singh Khalsa guides this advanced yoga
practice for the spine and extended meditation to release deep fear.
