Course Outline
This course consists of two parts, each covering different aspects of California-DBO law.
California requires that the course cover one hour of the California Finance Lenders Law,
(Sections 22000-22780 of the Financial Code) and one hour of the California Residential
Mortgage Lending Act (sections 50000-50706 of the Financial Code). Many of the topics that
we discuss come from both the Finance Lenders Law and the Residential Mortgage Lending Act.
Therefore, we have organized the course into two chapters, and each chapter covers various
topics. The entire course covers one hour of each of the required sections of Financial Code, but
those two sections are split between the two chapters. This course also includes additional
education related to the California Homeowner Bill of Rights.
