The border is occasionally used for timber, but only the brave venture deeper. There are dark things in the deep forest, and legends tell of Nolden Elves living in the heart of the Forest. The Forset is filled with ruins of a forgotten people. The great Steppe: barbarian lands. The borders are traveled by several nomadic Halfling clans. Giants Gravelands: Orcs and Trolls. The halflings have not come Dark men from the east The roads become Dangerous A group of dwarves seek the gate of their ancestral home in the Mountains. They are impatient and quick to temper. What is really happening: The force in the east has called out to its servants of old. The orcs are beginning to move. The beasts trapped in the mountain strain against their chains. The Nolden Elves are real, and are preparing to shore up their defenses. One of the men attempting to become thain is under the sway of the force in the east. The barbarians have been set against eachother by the dark men from the east. Their warring has kept the halflings from travel. The Ancient enemy of free peoples is attempting to separate and slowly crush the various kingdoms before he reveals himself and begins his conquest again. The Nolden Elves know of him. The Eversmith deep in the mountain knows of him. The Eversmith: a dwarf beyond age. He is an immortal, and one of the first peoples. He is the only survivor from the time of legends. His craft is skillful. He keeps the mountain shut, for within is chained many great servants of the Enemy. His task is neverending. He forges and maintains their chains and prisons. He will not go to war, though he will help if pressed. His long years have made him a pacifist. To the east: in the great wild, many are aware of the rising evil. Those that chose to live in the lands surrounding the sundering swamp know that orcs and evil men have congregated there. the small communities are beset by terrible beasts and orcs. They have attempted to send for help, though the enemy has guarded the roads carefully. He is slowly retaking fortressess of old and shoring up his forces.

If the name of Chernabog is spoken while the handle is gripped, acts as a flametounge weapon. Shadowbane: acts as a really good radiant weapon, however the light
is from a soul of a living being. When plunged into the heart of the enemy, the enemy will be killed forever, but in so doing the wielder will die. That is the final choice. The sword lies in enemy territory. It must be recovered and brought back to the eversmith. The enemy will know when it is taken and give chase. Human servants only call him the dark lord. Only when he is ready will the banner of the black wyrm unfurl. And even then men will not believe. He will ride firstly to the mountains, and to hammerfall, to release his true army. Then he shall sweep the world clean, and all will be shadow. The dwarven city is home to the eversmith, who guards the dead. The dwarven city is called hammerfall.
