    This assignment is completed using Mastercam software and all the strategies defined are as per
    industrialstandards.MastercamisCAMsoftwareusedformachiningforvarioussimpleandcomplex
    componentsinmanyindustries.Thesemachiningofcomponentsincludemanyapplicationssuchas
    diemoulds,productionjobs,impellercuttingetc.
    TobeginwithletusstudyGUIandotherfunctionalitiesofthisMastercamsoftware.Alongwiththis
    letusalsostudywhatareobjectivesofthisassignment.

    AlltheaboveobjectivesarecoveredinMastercamsoftware.
    ButbeforegoingtoactualdemonstrationletusfirststudyGUIofmastercamsoftware.

    Letusnowdiscussalltheseobjectivesindetails.Inthisassignmentwehavedividedallthese
    objectivesintovarioustasks.Oncompletionofthesetaskswewillbeabletostudyandunderstand

    Thiswillbetheoutputthatyouwouldgetonceyouextrudegivenprofile.

    Afterthisgotofrontviewanddrawgivenpolygonwith5sideswithradiusof0.75inches.

    Afterthisweneedtocreateanewplanesothatatappersurfacecouldbeselectedformachining.
    Detailsofplaneselectionisasfollowsandalsoisdiscussedinfurtherpartofthisassignment.


    Aftercompletion&creationofnewplane,selectthatplaneforfurtherdrawingaspergiven
    dimension.

    NowextrudethisslotsothatyoucandevelopyourCADdrawing.

    TodrawellipseonbacksideofmodelfirstsetvalueofZ=3onstatusbar.Thenselectcoordinates
    byusingfastpointtechnique.Andthuscreateyourownellipseasperyourrequirement.

    Afterextrudingallthreeentitieslikeslot,pentagon&ellipsewegetourfinalCADcomponentforour
    multiaxismachining.

    OncecompletingCADdrawingletusmoveonforCAMprocesses.


    Oncesuchsurfacepocketoperationiscompleted,thissametechniqueisusedtocomplete
    machiningofpentagon&ellipse.
    IncaseofpentagonyourWCS,Gview&CplaneshouldbeselectedasTOP.Butaminorchangein
    thistoolpathisthatintoolpathparametersyouwillhavetogotoplanesoptionanddofollowing
    changes.WCSTOP,ConstructionplaneFRONT&ToolplaneFRONT.Bythisyouwillgetyour
    requiredresult.

    IncaseofellipseyourWCS,Gview&CplaneshouldbeselectedasTOP.Butaminorchangeinthis
    toolpathisthatintoolpathparametersyouwillhavetogotoplanesoptionanddofollowing
    changes.WCSTOP,ConstructionplaneBACK&ToolplaneBACK.Bythisyouwillgetyourrequired
    result.
