The SWOT analysis

Strength

Weakness

Competitive advantage
The idea is unique and has no
competition till now. If this idea is
implemented successfully then it has
the biggest strength First movers
advantage

Very small market (if limited to

Saudi airlines)
If the problem is limited only to Saudi
Airlines then it is a very small market
to grow.
This app can only help a limited
amount of people and hence a
limited growth potential

USP (unique selling point)

The idea has a very unique selling
point. Its a niche product It is
targeting the problem faced by
frequent travellers of Saudi Airlines
and hence every Saudi airlines
traveller will relate to this product
easily.
Proof of concept at low cost
The app can be developed with a
minimum cost (range between SR
12500 to SR 20000)
Hence it is a low risk venture in terms
of cost

Cost per query

Since we do not have our own
servers, infrastructure and licence,
we will have to use external servers
for query call for every query raised
by our users. The cost of each query
raised by user is 2.5 cents, hence the
cost per query can become
expensive for customers
Can be used by travel agents
rather than direct users
Business Model
Till now there is no clear model on
how to get money from customers
and generate profits
Seasonality and frequency of use
Not all flights of Saudi Airlines are
completely booked. This usually
happens during holiday season hence
this app as a seasonal value only

Permission from Saudi Airlines

If we look at this problem then this

issue is faced not only by Saudi
airlines travellers but travellers all
across the globe. So if the idea is
implemented and the user accepts
the concept then the idea can be
expanded at global level
Partnership
There is an opportunity to become
affiliated partners with Saudi Airlines
if the concept works and they can

permission for notification but they

might not give permission for auto fill
Sadad payment without licensing
Saudi Airlines can start this idea
themselves
If Saudi Airline sees that this app is
working well and the users want such
a service, they can immediately add
this feature in the website. This can
be a big threat for our app idea.

Conclusion using SWOT analysis

The idea has a lot of potential and it has a unique proposition. People are currently facing this
issue and they will relate to this issue immediately. But unfortunately this idea is seasonal, most
flights in Saudi Arabian airlines are not completely booked unless its a holiday season.
This idea can generate profits only when the idea is expanded to other airlines and other regions
otherwise it will remain a small market seasonal entrepreneurial venture.
Final Conclusion:
1. It is good low cost idea to test in the market
2. It can be expanded in different regions where there are seasonal rush in flights
3. In order to make profits it should not only target Saudi airline but also other airlines in
near future
4. This idea needs upgrade in future and has to diversify into something that can become a
complete packaged solution
