OBJECTIVE

I am a Registered Nurse with many years of experience in the Operating Room. I am

primarily a Circulating Nurse but I also have experience in scrubbing. During my
Operating Room career I have demonstrated extensive knowledge of surgical equipment
and procedures, aptitude for developing new skills, and the ability to create rapport with
patients, families, and health care professionals. I recognize the importance of team work
and consistency in the surgical setting. At this time I am interested in securing a position
in the Operating Room or Surgical Center as a Circulating Nurse or possibly a Scrub

Responsible for all aspects of management and standard of care in the surgical
unit. Managed 25 FTE's as well as several per diem Nurses and Techs, and unit
Secretaries. Surgical case mix included: General, Urology, Orthopedic, ENT, Vascular,
GYN, Pain Clinic, and Endoscopy. Accomplishments included the opening of two
surgical rooms and creation of a Pre-Admission testing area. Increased efficiency and
turn-over times as well as safety in the Operating Room. Initiated Universal Protocol into
the surgical suite. I also Circulated for surgeries and assisted the secretaries in their
daily duties which included logging and scheduling of cases.
