3 Technical Problems:

1. Electronic swiping station in gate of TUP for the students who enters the
school.
Electronic Swiping stations is very useful and efficient especially for the
students who entering the school.
2. Lack of ventilation and malfunction equipment especially in Laboratory.
This is the primary problem were experiencing. Ventilation increase
the productivity of the students and in their studying. Functional
equipment helps adding the knowledge of the students for preparing
them for industry.
3. Poor network in the TUP website.
There so many problems in the TUP website like the accessing the
Student ERS occurs in checking of grades. Slow speed of accessing the
students account when there is many online user. Lack of information
especially in the ladderized students, freshman, posting the schedule
of a semester and few announcement.

SYMPTOM: ID Swipe Stations in the gate are not being used.

Team Approach/Composition
o

Establish a functional team which consists of 2 to 10 people who are

closely related to the problem. It involves people from different
functions/departments in the organization coming together to solve a
common problem.
An executive sponsor (School Administration) not a
working team member that is ultimately responsible for fixing the
problem.
A team leader (Head of Security) is the one who coordinates
the entire 8D project through-out all of its subordinates. Makes sure the
team is on track and all team members are working together to resolve
the problem.
An 8D expert is the one who knows the 8 disciplines. He/she
guides the team through the 8 disciplines using the appropriate quality
tools at each step.
A subject matter expert (Suppliers and Developers) of the
previously installed swipe stations responsible for maintenance of the
said stations
Supporting Cast (School Guards and Students) the one
who implement the actions the team are going to undertake in
resolving the problem.

Description of the Problem

Manual scanning at the entrance of the IDs performed by the guards was
expected to cause delays at the gates. It also serves as a challenge to the
guards in identifying if the person carrying the card is really the owner. This in
turn, poses a risk on the overall security level of the school.

Description of the Problem

Numerous students of the university depends on the fee wifi
connection but the availability of the connection is inconsistent.

Conclusion:
By inserting different values of frequency to the pre-defined program, the
students concluded that a high frequency sound wave corresponds to a high pitch
sound and a low frequency sound wave corresponds to a low pitch sound. For
second part of the activity, the student used MATLAB to synthesize the audio tones
that make up Fur Elise and the first sequence of their chosen song by using basic
mathematical functions as fundamental building blocks. Since these signals require
sinusoidal tones to represent piano notes, the students study the basics of reading
musical notes and were introduced to the frequency layout of the piano keyboard.
Signal envelope affects sound characteristics. A standard way to define the
envelope function is to divide it into four sections: attack (A), delay (D), sustain (S),
and release (R). Together these are called ADSR.
