planteados durante el debate
mencionado arriba:
Freud seal que gran parte
de nuestro estado mental es

inconscientemente.
La
conciencia es la punta del
iceberg (algunas veces llamada

CONCEPTO CLAVE EN MUCHAS TERAPIAS. ESTO INDICA QUE HAY ALGN TIPO

para proceder. Sin embargo, si tienes que decidir entre
muchas alternativas, a menudo el inconsciente nos
lleva a soluciones ms satisfactorias. Dichas soluciones
complejas.
El subconsciente proporciona imgenes al consciente
que integran mucha informacin actual y tambin
introduce informacin almacenada (recuerdos, recuerdos

many alternatives, the unconscious often leads to more
satisfactory solutions. Such solutions may emerge as
sudden flashes of insight or in dreams.
Helmholtz studied perception and realized that a
lot of non-conscious processing is not just dumb
automatic reflexes, but is adaptive and creative. The
subconscious assembles basic bits of information
from the sensory systems and makes sophisticated
decisions.
The subconscious delivers to consciousness images
that integrate a lot of current information and also
brings in stored information (memories, traumatic
memories, archetypes, personality structure).5
In his early years, Freud was an aphasiologist he
studied linguistic problems caused by brain damage.
He noticed that we don`t consciously pick the words
that we`re going to use. We don`t consciously form
the grammatical structure. All of that is done for
us non-consciously, and we just speak. We know
the gist of what we are going to say but we dont
know precisely what we are going say until we say
it. This involves some very complex processing and
exemplifies the remarkable feats the subconscious is
capable of accomplishing.
Until the 1980s, the nature of consciousness and the
subconscious seemed to be an intractable problem. At
that time, Bernard Baars and others recognized that
neuroscience actually has a variety of tools that can
be applied to the problem. Baars developed a Global
Workspace theory that suggests that consciousness
arises from highly coordinated widespread activities
in the brain. 6, 7, 8 When sensory signals are localized
in specific brain areas, sensations are not consciously
perceived. When sensory signals spread to a wider
network of neurons across much of the cortex, termed
the global workspace, we become conscious of the
sensations. The ways these diverse representations
and sensations are integrated into a coherent conscious
moment is known as the binding problem.9
The global workspace is a momentarily active,
