Good Day!
We, BSN602 Group 4 will currently be implementing our research study entitled "Musa spp. (banana
leaves) in Preventing the Development of Pressure Ulcers Among Geriatric Bed Ridden Patients. It aims
to determine the effectiveness of Musa spp. (banana leaves)in the prevention of pressure ulcers among
geriatric bed ridden patients.
We would like to inform you that we changed our number of days of implementation and Research
Locale so that we can attain our target quota of respondents and results. We will now conduct our
implementation in Brgy. Salapan, San Juan City, Luwalhati ng Maynila located at Boys Town Complex,
Marikina City and Kanlungan ni Maria home for the aged located at Antipolo, Rizal. We reduced the
number of days of the implementation into 14 days instead of 21 days since we found in our related
literature that it takes two weeks to develop a Grade 1 pressure ulcer.
