CONTENT
Lucky 7: Funk and Retro Themes includes over 1.3 GB of content with 564 different kontakt patches.
Kit Combos - 69 patches are included in the Kit Combos section. Each patch contains all the loops from the
main body of the track to create quick and easy arrangements. Modulation Keys are located in the C0 octave
range, loops start at C2 on the keyboard.
Sliced Loops - There are 466 sliced loops patches. Each loop from the product has been given its own patch
and can be edited extensively using the loop fx interface. The full loop can be triggered at C0. The loop can
be played backward at D0. Individual slices start at C1 on the keyboard.
Single Instruments - There are 28 Single Instruments patches which include full menus of each group of
instruments arranged by kit. For example all the Keys from the whole product can be found in the patch
called Keys.nki. (Loops start at C0 on the keyboard)
Demo Patch - One patch is included containing each kits full mix file for easy previewing.

FX INTERAFCE
The instrument FX interface includes various different sound effects and sound
shaping tools to be added to the patch. Using the Edit buttons below each FX Insert
you can custom design the different available FX parameters.
LOOP FX
The most extensive editing can be done in the sliced loop patches. Each loop is
given its own patch with an interface that allows for extensive loop manipulation.
Adjustments to volume, pitch, play back direction, attack, decay, cutoff, and resonance
can all be applied to each slice of the loop by first selecting the parameter you want to
effect at the top and then clicking within each slice to edit that parameter.
KEY TERMS
Volume - By default the volume is set to 100% for each slice. To make adjustments, click on a slice
then drag down to decrease the volume of that slice.
Pitch - Pitch can be adjusted up to 12 positive or negative semitones. To make adjustments, click on
the white horizontal line in the center of a slice, then drag up or down.
Pan - To pan the volume of a slice from right to left simply click and drag either up or down (up to pan
right and down to pan left).
Attack - Attack specifies the time it will take the slice to reach its maximum level when the MIDI note
is received. To add a longer attack time, click on a slice then drag up.
Cutoff - Cutoff by default is set to 100%. To change the cutoff frequency, click on a slice, then drag
down. Resonance - Resonance adjusts the emphasis of the frequency area around the Cutoff frequency.
To change the amount of resonance, click on a slice, then drag up.
Decay - By default Decay is set to 5% keeping the original sample decay almost exactly intact but
helping smooth out any pops created by the marker slices. Increase Decay value by clicking and
dragging up on a slice to fade out of slices early.
*If after making changes, you decide you would like to return to the default settings, click on the edit
button to the left of the waveform display and choose Reset to Default. This will reset all changes made.
LOOP FX CONTD
There are a couple of useful combination key stroke and mouse clicks that can make
editing slices a little easier. Option+command+click (Mac) or Control+Alt+Click (PC)
resets slice parameters to zero. Holding down those keys and dragging up or down
allows all slices to be edited at the same time. To draw a line across multiple slices
press the Option/Alt key, click on a slice as your start point for the line. Next, release
ONLY the mouse button, while still holding the Option/Alt key, click on the slice that
youd like to draw the line to and drag up or down to create the line.
There are two keyswitches to change how the loop will playback. The mode is changed
by one of the two key switches starting at C0.
C0 (Red Key) - Play loop forward
D0 (Blue Key) - Play loop backward
In the lower right hand corner, there are two buttons: Input Q and One Shot.
Input Q - Offsets loop playback by the selected value.
One Shot When the One Shot button is active, each slice will only play the sound
contained in that slice. When One Shot mode is not active, the remainder of the loop
will continue playing from the slice that was triggered. (Note: When one-shot mode
is active the loop can still be played in its entirety by playing C0.
Presets - There is a knob at the lower right hand corner called presets. This can be
used to create multiple edits of the same loop
Midi Files - A midi file of the loop can be dragged from the interface to your track by
using the icon in the upper right hand corner of the loop waveform display. These can
be very helpful to completely rearrange the loop, quantize, or to simply make minor
changes to the various slices of the loop.
DISPLAY WINDOW
To see the name of the loop currently being played select the display tab at the bottom.
This tab is only available in the Demos patch.
