Course Outcomes

At the end of the course, students should be able:


to identify international business environments, strategies,
operations and emerging issues
to describe concepts and theories in a real world context
to discuss and explain changes in the global environment
to discuss and carry out presentations, work in teams and
independently on topical global issues and case studies

Course Description

This course exposes the students to all the essential elements


of international business. The students will examine the
future scenarios of international business; examine the
countervailing forces that make decision-making in
international business complex and the dynamic nature of
the global business environment. This course coverage will
enhance the students understanding that companies needs
evolve with their growth in international operations.
Important issues regarding political, cultural, legal, economic,
and governmental forces that interact with international
business management, making international business
different from purely domestic business will be emphasized.

Teaching Methodology

This course will be delivered through lectures (to cover basic


principles and examples for each topic), class discussions,
tutorials, Blended learning (On-line Project Consultations)
and Group Project. It is compulsory for students to attend
all lectures and tutorials. Failure to do so will affect your

overall assessment. Group project must be completed and


submitted on or before the specified due date.
