CELEBRANT:
Let us pray.
God and Father of all gifts, we praise you,
the source of all that we have
and all that we are.
Teach us to acknowledge always
the many good things
your infinite love has given Adamson University
these past 80 years.
Guide all the members of the University Community
in our quest for quality education.
Help us, to love you
with all our hearts and all our minds
and enable us to live our calling
to be Your instruments in
spreading the Good News.
We ask this through our Lord
Jesus Christ, Your Son,
who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever.

GOSPEL
Mk 6:53-56
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark
After making the crossing to the other side of the sea, Jesus and his disciples
came to land at Gennesaret and tied up there. As they were leaving the boat, people
immediately recognized him. They scurried about the surrounding country
and began to bring in the sick on mats to wherever they heard he was. Whatever
villages or towns or countryside he entered, they laid the sick in the marketplaces
and begged him that they might touch only the tassel on his cloak; and as many as
touched it were healed.
This is the gospel of the Lord.

Father,
it is our duty and salvation
always and everywhere to give you thanks
through your beloved Son, Jesus Christ.
He is the Word
through whom you made the universe,
the Savior you sent to redeem us.
By the power of the Holy Spirit,
he took flesh and was born of the Virgin Mary.
For our sake he opened his arms on the cross;
he put an end to death and revealed the resurrection.

CELEBRANT:
Let us pray.
God our Father,
in this spiritual food
you have given back to us
the sacrifice we offered you in thanksgiving,
the saving sacrament of Jesus Christ, your Son.
May by the gifts of strength and joy
sustain us in your loving service.
Renew our commitment to our mission
for Adamson University
on its 80th Foundation Anniversary
and bring us to your gift of eternal life.
Grant this through Christ, our Lord.
ALL:
Amen.
PRIEST:
and thanksgiving.
We thank you loving Father for the gift of the Jubilee year.
Our hearts are grateful for the manifold blessings
you have bestowed upon us during all these years.
We thank you for all the successes of our students,
the achievements of our graduates,
and the difference they have made in the world.
Merciful Father, with contrite hearts we beg forgiveness
for our shortcomings, sins, failures and negligence.
We realize with sadness that we have sometimes failed
to follow your Will.
May this Jubilee year be an opportunity for us
to come back and get reconciled
with you and with one another.
Almighty Father, we pray that you renew your spirit within us.
Strengthen our resolve to pursue our mission
to bring the Good News of salvation to the poor.
Rekindle the spirit of wisdom and dedication in our
administrators, faculty and staff.
Guide our students in their studies,
inspire them to be diligent and develop in them
a compassionate heart.
Intensify love and support for our Alma Mater
among our alumni and friends.
May this Jubilee year be a fitting event for all of us
to discover and live our Vincentian identity.
Bless the work of our hands this year
and in the years to come.
This we ask through Christ, with Mary, our Mother
and St. Vincent, our Patron. AMEN
